Other teams on that list are in the same boat, so I'm not sure what I am missing here...
Also worth noting, in each of the three time frames above, Buffalo is in the top half in the League for 5v5TOI/GP, so spending more time at 5v5 makes a little more sense they are able to score a few more 5v5 goals.
