Could push them into being firm sellers at least
Some Islanders fans I believe said they have played better without him. Idk if that's in the past or recently so idk if that's true or was just an inside joke I wouldn't know about.
Hardly close to the Leafs record without Matthews. Some Islanders fans I believe said they have played better without him. Idk if that's in the past or recently so idk if that's true or was just an inside joke I wouldn't know about.
Pretty crazy how much Boston has dropped off.Not sure if this is good or bad after taking into consideration injuries?
Pretty crazy how much Boston has dropped off.
Speaking from experience, once you get old, you get old fast. Like, really fast. They've been due for this for like 5 years. Not all that crazy to be honest. It was more crazy that they kept hanging on
Interesting.Saw this on the main board and thought it was interesting, totals over their past 82 games.
I know we like to diminish assists here but some of those numbers are pretty impressive especially among the top 3.

Yeah I was surprised by Kaprisov's numbers as well, I guess I never really thought of him as that dynamic a goal scorer.Interesting.
As poor as Matthews has been, he is still 1st in goals over past 82.( tied with Kaprizov).
Marner with 85 assists is pretty damn good too

I tried to block out the North Division as not only we lost to the worst playoffs team, and of all the seasons, it was that season that got into the All or Nothing series.I agree with evilhomer, Ottawa will stumble (a little bit) but I had them picked as a WC team just by the addition of Ulmark. Hasn't exactly played out that way but I stand by my prediction. TB takes 3rd in the division.
Btw, Toronto won a division title - Canadian division, covid year. It counts, or did TB not win back to back cups? Did we not lose to the habs in 2021? If those things happened, then we won a division title.
Ottawa won't win a division title in the Matthews era before Toronto because they can't.
Ovechkin at 49 goals is insane considering he was 38-39 years old over that span.Interesting.

Well there's always a way to belittle a Leaf accomplishment hey if the Leafs manage to win the division this year, anyone can say "well the bruins, bolts and panthers just aren't as good as they used to be" so hooray for you, you did what so many do - belittle any Leaf victory. We won our division in 2021, that is a fact, any other comment on the matter is opinion, stupid or smart. I stick with facts, we won the division and lost in the first round to a team serveral points in the standings below us. That crap team made the finals that year but failed to make the playoff since then and will likely miss the playoffs yet again this year. While the Leafs continue to make the playoffs and fail to get out of the first round. Still I would rather make the playoffs than not and I apperciate every playoff appearance brcause I have a memory of the post lock out years, which apparently a lot of Leaf fans can't rememberI dunno man. The postseason is different. Even if it was bizarre in ‘20 and ‘21 it’s not like Tampa could avoid playing the other heavyweights of the league en route to their Championships.
Leafs meanwhile won a Division that was full of crap teams, including the one that humiliated us in the playoffs and wound up fluking their way to a Finals appearance.
Yes we were first, but it winning the North was like being the tallest midget. It’s certainly not something anyone associated with this franchise should hang their hat on.

Lol, no it wouldn't. They've fallen off more than slightly. We currently have to beat 0.613 this year for the division lead. We had to beat the 0.643 team featuring the best player in the league in 2020-2021.A division title this season would be far more legitimate, even if the Bruins, Panthers, and Lightning have slightly fallen off.
Time makes people forget the pain. Those years were so so much worse.I remember the post-lockout years well, and frankly what we’ve been doing with Matthews is barely better.
Yes but playing a balanced schedule against every team in the league with a lot more travel makes up for the .30% points.Lol, no it wouldn't. They've fallen off more than slightly.
