Can Miller save the Rangers season?

That is two 100 point guys traded in a week. That is rare
What does this do for the Canucks room. Based on all accounts a lot of tension was just removed from that group. What do they do with it?

I feel like the Rangers were always going to be able to recover and at least claim a wildcard spot. They are better than those other teams in the east.

Can the Canucks do the same in the West? Will be a challenge I think.

I had previously said I thought the Rangers would jump back in to a playoff spot even without Miller, and I too don't know how the Canucks fare.

They are two different teams with and without Hughes on the ice. The splits are incredible.

I think they can hold off Calgary and end up playing Win or Edm in the first round.

I don't care about the Canucks room, Pettersson better come out and look like the 100 point version of himself cause he's got no more excuses so sulk.

At first glance it appears the Rangers handily won this trade.

The team that gets the best player wins the trade. Chytil is half the player Miller is. The Rangers got the best player so they won the trade

For Vancouver this wasn't about improving the roster.

It was about changing the culture in the dressing room. So the return on the trade was of secondary consideration. Just getting rid of Miller is addition by subtraction for them.

The Leafs should probably be taking notes and let Marner walk to free agency.

His loser mentality and refusal to accept personal accountability are two things that don't belong on a sports team. They don't need god on skates blaming everyone else if they lose in the first round again. It would be a win just getting him off the team.

Sometimes it's not about asset management or getting the best return on investment possible.

Peterson has no more excuses.
I personally think he is a weak player.

Higher ticket, merch and concession prices are on their way up . But still, very good news for the Leafs in terms of the cap, they can easily raise their spending unlike budget teams.

Yep. They need an aggressive response. Unfortunately, this adds to the idea that the guys biggest issue is mental toughness

Revenue sharing will go up and there will be expansion.

Crazy what a competent coach can do for a team. The Monahan injury really hurts them though (and my fantasy team :( ).

Marchenko is such a fun player and people will finally start giving him the respect he deserves soon.
Also missing Jenner and Gudbranson. Just shows that good work ethic helps level the ice.

Petterson is a good player.

But he's lacking the muscle needed to truly succeed at his position. He reminds me a lot of some of our Leafs. Zero aggression, gets pushed off the puck easily, and avoids all physical contact.

Miller was the better centre.

I know that everyone hates Dubas, but from the TSN article about the Vancouver trade:

"No team has more draft picks, or selections in the first three rounds, over the next three NHL Drafts than Pittsburgh."

They guy has brought in 0 (ZERO) first round picks the entire time he has been there (return as a part of the Guentzel trade), the rest they already had. In fact he has moved 1 (ONE) out for EK65 and his team missed the playoffs last year.

People do not like Dubas because of what he was unable to accomplish here. That story is written and it cannot be changed. He failed massively. No one cares what he is doing in PIT.

Wow the next 3 years of cap increases are even bigger than I expected. McDavid’s next deal is going to be off the charts
