Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Detroit is coming in hot... seven wins in a row, and they've put themselves right in the mix.

This could be a very close race to make it into the playoffs... not necessarily great to being a buyer at the deadline, as there could be more teams trying to add, and less selling.

Off topic.

Is it just me or does the posting frequency and general interest in this site appear to be on a steady decline?

I don’t spend much time on the mains or other teams boards so maybe they’re maintaining a steady pace but that doesn’t appear to be the case here. Not that long ago if you skipped a day here there would be umpteen pages of new posts to catch up on. I miss yesteryear.

Lots of good posters have been driven away.

Division back down to 1 if Philly doesn't come back in the third.

Time to right the ship this week.

Not sure how Cal has hung around for half a season. Parity I guess is good for bad teams

I think the flyers will win this game. Florida looks pretty disinterested.

That little bump out pass by Michkov on the Flyers 3rd goal was pretty sweet.
Now the Flyers take the lead. It’s been something like 60 straight games since Florida blew a 2 goal lead.

Cates had an awesome game.
I know theres one poster that keeps bringing up his name on the trade board, saying he's the center we should make a play for.

Wow Philly, good job.
I think a lot of people haven't actually watched any Florida games this season. It's not the team you remember from the past two seasons. It's why I keep saying that the Leafs will comfortably win the division, and they will likely do it with a lower point total than in previous seasons. The competition at the top end of the division is just not as good anymore.

this division stinks, wow

We really need to take advantage and get some separation
I don't think it will even matter. The separation will be created simply by virtue of the fact that the other teams in this division are mostly just middle of the pack teams at this point. The leafs will fall ass backwards into winning the division whether they play well or not. That may not actually be a good thing, but that's the reality of the Atlantic division right now.

It really emphasizes the importance of us getting our game back to where we want it to be

This is the clearest pathway to the final 4 we've had since the Canadian division
