Off topic.

Is it just me or does the posting frequency and general interest in this site appear to be on a steady decline?

I don’t spend much time on the mains or other teams boards so maybe they’re maintaining a steady pace but that doesn’t appear to be the case here. Not that long ago if you skipped a day here there would be umpteen pages of new posts to catch up on. I miss yesteryear.

It's almost like all the losing has fans jumping off the bandwagon.

How many comments have you read saying the regular season doesn't matter? Too many to count. Looks to me like people are making better use of their time instead of watching meaningless regular season games.

Until they re-write the final chapter fewer and fewer people are gonna care about the same old story with the same unhappy ending.

Complacency. We're all just waiting for the playoffs, there's not a ton to go over.

This place is way nuttier when we suck, always been the case.

Board will go nuts again when it matters.

The regular season only seems to matter when the Leafs lose.

They've done a lot better than I thought they would this year.

Maybe even another record breaking regular season. Win or lose I'll watch them no matter what. But the majority of the fan base is made up of casual Joe Weekender's who don't really care two figs about the team except in the playoffs.

The dwindling interaction numbers in a year they're performing well is just one more sign they need to start winning when it matters most.

They are on a 104 point pace but have not beaten a good team since Dallas almost a month ago. The Atlantic is underwhelming and they could break through but I'm not sure just how good this team is.

On a positive note, they are 8th in points percentage in the league, ahead of Canes, Devils, Panthers and Avs. Not bad. Let's see if they can keep it up as the schedule is going to be a grind before and after the 4 Nations.
