Looks like Yams is getting more PP oppurtunity than he ever had here. I'm interested to see if it'll unlock some more offensive skill or confidence in his game. There's that theory that offensive players need puck touches to hit their potential... I'm interest to see if the theory holds.

Eberle had the best chance early but I don't know if he got the puck through.

I thought he missed / was blocked?

Although I'm watching on my phone, so, 😂.

Not enthused with more vezina quality tending from hill to start the year. 💤

Very funny if Hill did in fact go from AHL level backup to Vezina NHL goalie all because the Oilers tore Brossoit's groin.

Seattle's PP is awful.

Only scoring chance was a yams muffin into the pad?!
Seattle PP is a comedy show. The telecast shining up the turd is even more hilarious. a 5 minute PP and the best they do is a patented useless Yamamoto stuff at pads. That isn't going in one time out of 20..

Funny as well how much the telecast and the coach felt Yamamoto would immensely improve their PP.. They even mentioned he's a specialist. In what universe?

Seattle 0 for 11mins on the PP and Vegas had the best scoring chances by far, while shorthanded.

Wonder if this is going to be a fallback season for Seattle. not a lot of guns here and they were getting pushed off the puck all night. Seattle don't battle for pucks very well.

Lol right? How could he be a specialist? He didn't even play on our pp.

Well not much. But this is how it goes with orgs. Seattle can sell some tickets with fans getting the home state boy, and also pretend he was somehow a significant part of a league leading PP.

Thats usually the spin orgs put on it. But I was a bit surprised the coach put the same spin on and giving him more minutes on a PP than he would get here. Many more. Yams had 5.56 mins on the PP. Wow.

Yeah, idk. Just kind of funny.

And it's not just the org, but also the media. Commentators slobbering his knob for his exceptional offensive capabilities. Lol what capabilities? Dude played with mcdrai and struggled to pot 30 points consistently.

Bedard sure looks good for a 18 year old, not surprising, he will score a ppg this year.
Not impressed at all. This will be his easiest game because of energy and excitement for first game and the fact he played a team with bad defense who didn't make playoffs. He is also an average skater at best

Bedard doesnt have that speed through the neutral zone that McDavid has but he takes a ton of shots
No doubt he scores 40 goals like Matthews did in his rookie season if he keeps shooting
Still looks small out there
Um no kidding hr doesn't have the speed through anywhere like mcdavid does lol thanks for pointing out the obvious
Bedard is an average skater at best. He will eventuality be a star in the nhl but not even close to Mcdavid level

33 goals and 30 assists for 63 points is my prediction if he doesn't get injured. The fact that he shoots so much will likely help him get more than 25 imo. He'll impress but I don't think he'll be dominate until his sophomore season.
Dominate exactly what in his sophomore year?? Lmao! Dominate the league or the media lol. he will not Dominate anything. He will be a good player with a good shot and hockey IQ but he will not be dominating anything. I can see him being a top 5 player in this league eventually

Bedard will score a lot of goals because his first instinct appears to be "SHOOT". And he does have an elite shot. But McDavid's speed and his ability to do things in top gear is just beyond description. It will be what separates him from everyone else of this generation.

And there it is. Kid is living up to early hype

Everyone thinks he’s to small and an average skater but they just don’t know hockey I guess.

He’s a way above average skater at 18, elite actually, not supernova like Mcdavid was/is but elite.

Size will not hold him back at all either

We will see a PPG this year maybe he even flirts with 100 points in his first season, I still think Mcdavid would of also with a full first season
