thats a steal for him and absolutely would pay it to have him here. people won't think this is a lot of money when we are giving nico 10 a year when his deal is up.

Mack went from underpaid to overpaid. Deserved in that respect but he's not the best player in the nhl, hell, hes not the best player on his team.

And I’m aware of what Lundqvist did in his d+3. Ty Smith got Calder trophy votes in his d+3.
And Lundvist didn’t play the whole year in Hartford, he played 25 games in New York too, where he stunk.

don't agree there - everyone states how good of a role model he is in the locker room and gets everyone motivated and accountable. so sure, he's not mcdavid (funnily enough, his cap hit at time of signing is < what mcdavid's was), but he has things you can't teach
I think that has something to do with who shows up on the main boards. There is a denizen of fans that post there constantly, have ridiculously biased takes, and like to argue with each other. I can name at least ten. A couple are Avs fans. A few are Rangers fans at least one Vancouver fan comes to mind. For some fanbases it's not that there are consistent strident voices but there are just a bunch of them (MTL and TOR and maybe). Some fanbases have enough humility it's not a big deal.

Thought I saw something awhile back about Winnipeg turning down something like Logan Stanley plus a mid-round pick for Puljujarvi around the draft. Maybe not a fit now with Winnipeg signing Sam Gagner and Edmonton adding Ryan Murray for depth.

I’d say the last Leafs cup predates some of our younger posters parents even being born.
Mine were barely even double digits in age at that time.

Not to completely blow up this thread, but the players who randomly made statements on the Canada Junior team situation, looked guilty AF. I don’t think it matters if a certain player, makes a public statement. We just got to wait until they are cleared and signed by the Oilers!
