Matthews before the season stated he wanted to be more physical this season. He has 14 hits through 3 games and 2 hits behind the NHL leader. Last season he had 67 hits in 73 games.

I wish some Ducks would do this.

I sure hope he is taking into account the weakness of the Canadian dollar. It is now running about $1.37 Canadian to $1 American, and that should negatively impact the amount paid into the escrow balance account by the Canadian teams this year.
