The only person since J.S. Giguere that actually might win the Conn Smythe is Bob even on a losing team going to the finals.

Tkachuk shouldn't be into the conversation if Bob is on the team

But he is to many people, that's the point..... after going an entire series without a goal. In Toronto people want to trade a player who went an entire series without scoring a goal.

AM and MT both had a great first round, and a bad second round. But hockey is a team game so Florida won. 3 games into the ECF: Trade AM.... MT for Conn Smyth. The only inference is that a hot 3 games in the ECF can take you from trade worthy to Conn Smyth worthy

This is why I love and hate this place so much. Love the passion but can't stand the selective memory.

So far, Bobrovsky has saved 19.5 goals more than expected, in only 13 games.

The only goalie to finish with a higher total in a single playoffs since at least 2009 is Vasilevsky in his cup-winning years, in 10+ more games.

Pretty crazy.

Everything is turning up roses for Zito. He's probably going to bankrupt a couple of casinos in the SCF.

One accidental and the other premeditated with Stone lying helpless on the ice.
Great system.
One the players has no disciplinary history (but mouthed off at the refs, how dare he) and the other has had 4 career fines, with 3 of the 4 being just last year(!) and 2 of the 4 also being stick infractions, and that doesn't include his crosscheck to Larkin last year that took Larkin out for the season and received no discipline for.

Great system

Expected by whom? It's the weirdest stats ever.

If they expected Bob to play in god mode his expected goal saves would suck ass?

Stat that requires accurate fortune-telling to begin with. It makes + / - look good.

A great mystery for me these playoffs is that somehow someone hasn't taken Sam Bennett's head off.

Am I missing something? Is the guy some super heavyweight that is feared league wide?

That’s why you need someone to counter punch him. They’ve had two series in row where he gets to bully guys

I think you can attribute the success of the Panthers to their philosophy of unrelenting attack of the puck. The Leafs employ a horrible collapsing defense and leave far too many gaps, the point men have all day to set plays up or walk the line. I never did like that collapsing strategy, attack the puck and don't give them time, it also causes many turnovers going the other way.

Yes, like the way Bobby Clarke broke the ankle of the former Soviet Union player. First Knies, now Slavin...he needs to be filled in.
Not quite like Bobby, but he does play like a guy that wants to win. That hit on Slavin was one of best I’ve seen this year.

I don’t see him hiding?
