canes may not quit like the leafs, but when playing against a hot goalie like bobrovsky, the end result appears to be the same (even with barkov hurt most of the game).

Difference this year leafs got out in 5 vs a lengthy 7 game set like 2021 and 2022 vs Habs and Bolts

Leafs are basically the 'Good Luck Chuck' of the NHL. The bad news though - none of those teams won the cup after making it to the finals.

Some calls are judgement but that was a clear high stick. The refs have been embarrassing these playoffs. A shame the media does not call them out.

naw its an excuse; if leaf fans can't point out the obvious change in calls after Paul Maurice's gang signs then you can't give Carolina a mulligan either. maybe Carolina should score more than 1 GPG this round.

This is all Bobrovsky at this point. It’s a bit weird crediting Maurice for creating some all world defensive team here. They were 21st in the league in GA in the regular season, (the poorest defensive team in the playoffs) gave up 27 goals to Boston and then Bob just started locking it down, and has gotten better and better the deeper they go into the playoffs. Bob’s Goals Saved above expected in now 17.3!!! Of course teams look good defensively and play loosely and confident when your goalie is this hot.

Assuming they make the Cup Finals, Bob should get the Conn Smyth no matter what the result is.

Unfortunately that's how the GMs/presidents/owners have always wanted it, so that's how it always has been.

Yea Bob is playing at a level not seen in 15+ years, even more crazy in this higher scoring era. Canes getting goalied, and look to lose in yet another conference final.
