Hockey is literally such a f***ed sport. If the Pens don’t blow game 81 against the Blackhawks and actually make the playoffs, Florida doesn’t get a chance to run a HOT Vezina calibre goalie to beating the 1st, 4th and (potentially) 2nd best regular season team.

That being said 7 years is too long for us and the game 3 performance while we were down 0-2 was the moment I knew it was time for a shakeup.

Carolina’s management literally looks at the playoffs as a series of coin flips. There is a lot of variance and chance.

They may win the cup but don’t go all in every year.

I was ok with rentals this year because of Matthews final year before D day.

And the Covid world made sense given the division and flat cap.

I've been told that good goalies don't exist and simply that TOR can't score come playoff time. I think Carolina and Florida should be wildly concerned their offence had so much difficulty scoring.

Carolina averaging 1 goal/60 and Florida at 1.5...yikes.
