They are definitely going to retool. Will be interesting to see if any of their top guys want to stick around for a retool, as I doubt that franchise can survive a rebuild.
Hellebuyck has 1 more season. Can’t see him sticking around and that would expose their D. Scheifele hasn’t seemed happy there for awhile and of course there’s the Dubois rumours.
They can’t really allow any big names to walk as UFA so whatever happens has to happen soon.

Only interested in Helle, Connor and maybe Ehlers. That’s about it.
Wheeler can’t be move.
Schef and PLD should get some good prospects and picks.

Right. I was mainly thinking about those with short term. It’s really interesting if the guys signed to term have a wandering eye.

The thing is if they can’t extend Helle, they are truly screw. Bc Helle is the reason why they are competitive. If he is traded, others will follow bc I don’t think they want to be in a rebuild during their prime.

Tough night for the Jets. Not sure what the off-season brings there. They should overhaul that roster but Chevy doesn’t do much other than move out those who ask out.
Jets fans love him but I think he’s a nothing burger gm.
The Jets are right up there with the underachieving teams in the league in the last half decade or so. They had the potential to be a consistent conference final team for a few years, with a Cup appearance.

Certainly on the downswing now, and big changes have to be made. Hellebuyck won't bail them out forever, and with Blake Wheeler now closer to 40 than 30, that's a big gap to fill. They have some nice young players coming up, but their window for contention has shut at the moment.

Colorado Avalanche forward Valeri Nichushkin, who has been away from the team since Game 3 last Saturday, was reportedly involved in an incident involving police at the team’s Seattle hotel, The Denver Post reports.

According to the Post’s Bennett Durando, a woman was reportedly found in the forward’s room so intoxicated that “a team doctor called for an ambulance,” as outlined by the Seattle Police Department’s report. Team employees allegedly found the woman while checking Nichushkin’s room, and after determining the woman was too intoxicated to safely leave via a taxi, called the police just after 3 p.m. local time.

He is in the first year of an eight-year contract signed last summer that carries an average annual value of $6.125 million.
