Akira Schmid, the new goaltender for New Jersey might be pulling a Cam Ward move. He just helped his team to tie the series against the rival NY Rangers 2-2, by winning two games on the road,
after losing the first two games at home. The Devils lost the first two games of this series with Vanacek in net.

I'll never be. I followed Rask even before the draft, was euphoric when we made the pick. Loved his effort in the WJC. Knew he was something different. I still remember raging to my friend the morning I heard about the trade, that it will be disaster and oh boy, it was a complete disaster.

Can't go like that, but yeah it probably will. Colorado is already losing and DOPS "don't want to interfere that series by punishing Norris winner in this stage". Game management ruling coming out.

Trying to catch as much of each series as possible. The west playoff series have been fun. Leafs Lightning is the only one in the east I've enjoyed. Rangers-Devils has been dead puck era dull. Other two just feel like mismatches.

I thought so too... Probably will only be 1 game but at least he's getting something? That hit was beyond awful.

I will say though that if McCann isn't injured long-term on the play, Makar probably gets away with it.

i'm surprised. Didn't think DOPS had it in them to suspend non-leafs players.

I don't think Vegas is great, but the Jets are missing too many key players to mount a comeback, mainly their best D. Hellebuyck needs to steal some games, although he has looked fairly pedestrian so far

Devils with good goaltending are scary. Insanely fast paced team, Leafs got lucky beating them twice this season and also getting a point in an OTL, they were outplayed for mostly all 3 games.

Their speed and skill is dangerous but yea their back end is their biggest weakness for sure.
