This department desperately needs to be gutted and revamped. It's so broken and dumb.

Shanahan tried to make it a decent institution that worked but the powers that be didn’t like it. Now we’ve get Parros in there who’s frozen the clock on any potential progress. Having the guy in charge of player safety having part ownership in a clothing line called “violent gentlemen” sounds like a bad joke but it’s our literal reality.

Make hockey violent again is the new motto.

Too terrible officials to a literal enforcer running department safety, what is the league even doing here?

The whole logic behind having an enforcer/ex fighter lead player safety was always completely asinine. Too many decisions from the office seem to come from "feelings" rather than any sort of objective review.

It’s been pad the stats the past two games for McDrai.

If he's gonna miss the PO, he sure as hell is going to wrangle something out of this season. He is going to pad his stats right through to game 82. Can't say I blame him. Oilers are burning through his prime years and he's light years away from a sniff at the cup.

Chatter about Matthews moving on from Toronto after his contract expires, but seems to me there's a far greater chance McDavid and Drai look elsewhere the first chance they get

The Oilers have one of the easiest schedules remaining. Multiple games against Sharks and Ducks left, McDavid may very well hit 65-70 goals at this rate.

Especially with how they feast on the PP.
