GDT: Around the League - 2021/22 - Playoffs edition

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. Kadri had 10 points in 19 playoff games as a Leaf. Lets not pretend he was at this level in the playoffs as a Leaf and guaranteed most of you would be calling for his head if he got suspended again like last year (because being contrarian is cool). I still hate the trade especially with the complete flop Barrie, but just saying.

And despite a strong performance in the one playoffs he didn’t get suspended in on his current contract, he made a blunder against Dallas that cost them the series.

Makar - Toews is an absolutely unreal pair. Feels like they’re completely neutralizing McDavid’s rush game.

Yeah, I often think about this in general. Matthews and Marner have never played a bad defensive team in the playoffs. Even Montreal and Columbus, they might have been bad teams but it was their offense that was lacking.

Many Leaf fans bring that up but series doesn't go 7 if Avs don't lose their #1 and #2 goalies and had to use Hutch.
