Yep.

Awesome that Kadri is doing well; he's a great player. It's just a pity that if he had played like this on the Leafs he probably would have avoided being traded.

Probably because he was given a 3rd liner role and didn't get PP opportunities
Kadri always brought the physicality. He did well in the role he was given

10 points in 19 playoff games is not bad. Considering he was 21 when he played 7 games and scored 4 points

Not a whole hell of a lot different to Tavares' playoff points total with us. Would also save 6.5 mil or so for a goalie/defenseman/centre.

Third line or not, he still had the opportunity to be a difference maker and didn't.

He wasnt bad (other than his decision making on those hits) but wasn't a driver of team success either.

I'm glad he's finally figured out and will be cheering if he gets to raise the cup - I just wish he had did that when he was a Leaf.

4.5 AAV

Dubas fans keep forgeting this is a cap league where COMPETENT GMs have to put together a competitive team under the cap and not blow their load on few players and pretend that they are the second coming of Einstein and first in hockey.

On top of that from Kadri's article he himself wrote:

He looks to be a late bloomer. Tough because yeah he had two boneheaded suspensions, and then even after he got traded he followed it up with another suspension. But man the passion that he plays with is such a need for this team. It was needed back then it we could have really used it now. Even if you put his outstanding play on the offensive side aside, Kadri is a guy who will go to war. Hindsight is obviously 20/20, but trading Kadri is Dubas's biggest blunder.

Hope Kadri gets a cup this year. Miss that guy so much.

I really thought he would retire a leaf but I'm so glad to see him do well in colorado after all the shit he took from the media. Those clowns on overdrive loved trashing him, especially mclennen. Now they're puckering up and kissing his arse. They should have been bowing to his greatness ever since the Leafs drafted him.

Didn’t get PP opportunities? He was on the top unit averaging even more time on the PP after Tavares was signed.

The idea was that he could feast on third line matchups and didn’t. And the proceeded to get suspended two playoffs in a row.

Kyle's two biggest mistakes, Tavares and Kadri, may be impossible to recover from during his tenure.

It was one of the worst trades we've seen yet. Yeah ok he took some dumb suspensions but he loved playing here and was probably the only player with any grit during the bruin series. Stupid dumb trade. God I hope colorado wins.

Three years in a row wasnt it?

That was Kadris playoff learning curve. Hard to throw too much shade. We're still working through ours.

I won't be surprised at all if he ends up coming back to Toronto similar to Spezza during the final part of his career.

Had to watch the game on tape delay - but it was the only good news this Ontarian got for the whole evening.

Would love to see an Oilers sweep, that team and city is so undeserving

might have been signing tavares, which led to the kadri trade as well

Man it's almost like the Oilers are lucky that:

1. LA lost Doughty for their series.
2. Markstrom forgot how to goal tend in round 2.

They are a truly pathetic excuse for a conference finalist.
So much randomness in hockey and with the NHL's format you always seem to end up with a team in the final 4 that is way worse than the others.
