If Leafs don't make it passed the 1st Round, I'm sorry but you have to look at firing Keefe, as well as Dubas. They have put together this team and Keefe is responsible for getting these guys prepared game in and game out. If this series has shown us anything, it's after a win, the Leafs come out scared and get dominated, that's both on the coach and players.

I mean it has been the same thing under two drastically different coaches and two drastically different GM's. It has been much better under Keefe/Dubas than under Babcock/Lou, but ultimately a change to the core will be next. That does not mean that it will be Dubas that will be making those moves (I doubt Keefe is fired), but it won't be core stays and Dubas doesn't. It will either be Dubas stays and part of core goes (likely Nylander at this point) or both are gone.

Be careful what you wish for.

Wright is a hell of a player, don't trust what youtube highlights scouts tell you on HFB.

Suzuki (22 y old) - Wright (18 y old) will be a scary duo at C for years to come. The Atlantic just got stronger.

I think he hasn't dominated as much as expected. He went from challenging to be a McDavid/Matthews/Bedard type 1st overall pick to be more of a Tavares/Stamkos level one now I think though. That is still well above-average, and the Covid stoppage may have been a reason why he didn't dominate as much as expected, but he is still the consensus top pick in this draft. Nothing against the other guys, who are top prospects themselves, but none of them come even close to Wright in terms of refinement and overall skill.

Disagree, will be a good 2C in the league for many years, he's not franchise nor Elite

the reality of the habs drafting wright is they will decide to play wright next season instead of letting him simmer in which ever league his is eligible for. like we did with marner/nylander

chances are with internal growth of whomever they have plus another rookie or 2 quite possibly hopefully it will take them right out of the bedard lotto
