The punch is a blind side sucker to a defenseless player and the stick gesture is just unnecessary. Feels like an easy double up on suspension to send a message, but who knows with DOPS.

The Leafs are fourth in points%, just seven-one thousandths from second. In any other sport a team with the same record is a contender, and not a silent one.

Then there’s a dip to the Flames, riding big years from Gaudreau and Markstrom to success.

The Oilers are now on the outside looking in, they miss I can see someone possibly being unhappy enough to ask for a move.

Winnipeg isn’t even mediocre.

Vancouver will end up with 86-92 points, outside the playoffs, outside the top 5.

Ottawa will also play themselves out of a top 5 pick without sniffing the playoffs.

I don’t know who sacrificed what to whom for the Stanley Cup run, but even if who they draft this year is a star right away like Matthews, Montreal still needs high end talent at every position and has bad deals holding them back.

Yeah the first shot was obviously ridiculous... but a stick to the face of a goalie? Should be at least 5 games easily. If that blade gets through the mask it could have done serious damage. And that isn't just a spur of the moment during live play... this was well after the whistle when he already did one cheap shot. If that was Kadri 2 years ago it woulda' been 10 games easily. Enough is enough with this turd.

Yup that one's gonna hurt. I liked some of Nurse's game last year but not at that price, and not after one good year. Making Reilly's contract look all that much sweeter. 40 points for Reil's to Nurse's 19 this year btw...

Have Hab fans mentally accepted that they are in for a solid 5+ year rebuild? I hope they have because that is what they are in for.

I'm totally fine with Montreal winning the draft lottery this year and getting Wright as it guarantees they have zero shot at Conor Bedard the next year. Wright is ok, he's just okay. Bedard may be the next Crosby
