The difference between 3rd or 4th isn’t a lot, that’s true. Though I’d still like us to go for first in the Atlantic and set up a potential match with Boston

It’s basically a pick your poison scenario in round 1.

If we finish in the top 3 in our division, we get one of Tampa or Florida. If we finish in a wildcard spot, it’s still likely one of Tampa/Florida or even worse, Carolina.

We’ve seen them win a division last year and still go nowhere in the playoffs so regular season success doesn’t mean much to me with this group at this point. They just need to make the playoffs and go from there. We have the talent to beat anybody but no matter who we face round 1, it’s likely we’ll be underdogs.
