Edmonton and Chicago is going as far as you and I with this horrendous defense. Sheesh.

We better hope Chicago beats Oil...you know if they're in the lottery, Chi wins the lottery. Chi has screwed LA in the lottery too many times. Problem is--it is so painful rooting for the Hawks.

You would be amazed how many fans here in Chicago have no idea they got Kane by winning the lottery (with 8% chance). I tell every Hawk fan here that you don't have 3 Stanley Cups, you have 3 Lottery Cups. Most have no idea what I'm talking about.

They screwed LA last year too. Missed the playoffs by 4 points, moved up 12 spots and got the 3rd pick. SMFH!

Idk...hard to be upset when we got Alex Turcotte out of it. Gives us some nice depth down the middle.

Not when you finish next to DFL in the entire league and drop three spots while the league favorite Hawks jump all the way to 3rd. I'd rather have Byram than Turcotte and then this whole Byram/Stutzle decision is even easier.

I'd say it is hard to be upset now that LA moved up in this last one but you know the team that gets 1OA is going to annoy all of us because it won't be someone like Florida.

the teams I would like to see in the lottery for the #1OA. Not in any order.

Florida - enough said
Columbus - don't want the leafs to get lafreniere
Montreal - don't want the pens to get #1OA
Chicago - so Edmonton doesn't get him
Minnesota - old core and so the canucks don't get lafreniere
Winnipeg - don't want lafreniere on the flames
Carolina - the rangers fans would be insufferable if they got him

toss up
Nashville and Arizona

At this point Dach looks like the better prospect than Turcotte, that is clearly hindsight, and many here (myself included) wanted Turcotte over Dach, but a year later I think it's fair to say that Dach is the better prospect.

Chicago has had some interesting lottery results over the years. Getting Kane in 2007 and jumping up last year was obviously huge. Also important to remember that Chicago was probably screwed over by the lottery more than any other team when Washington jumped them in 2004. Chicago went from Malkin to Cam Barker.

Yeah...I was very comfortable with Dach at the Kings pick but Turcotte was supposedly better so I wasn't bummed. I really had my heart set on Byram and hoped he fell but wasn't going to flip out about anyone rumored to LA at 5. Hell, I wouldn't of freaked if they took Caufield.

Muzzin probably got a nasty stinger. Looked like something you see more in the NFL when heads go off of knees and legs in the pile. Meanwhile, Forbort takes a puck to the face. Rough night for former Kings.

First thing I thought of but so many little things happened on that play it was hard to tell, heh. First the shot to the back (remember he's had back concerns before), then the odd collapse while still on his edge made it look like maybe knee/ankle before smashing his head on knee.

If Carolina wins the 3rd period, they will put the Rags out of their misery.

my thought was stinger too but i couldn't make sense of how he was sitting there with his legs elevated with the trainer before laying down and waiting for the stretcher

maybe just stuffed his neck back and his traps/spinal erectors cramped up or something so they were just being safe. i think i read that he was moving extremities so this is probably all abundance of caution type stuff
