Lmao

I don't think this should be a major on Matheson, he seemed to keep his elbow down and the head wasn't the primary point of contact. I totally forgot about this major review rule.

I didn't think it should have been a penalty, I thought it was a good hit that Boychuk had his head down. Matheson saw him coming and thought he'd hit his shoulder. But it got the Isles a 2-0 lead. Bob's played well, the Panthers need to keep pressing. Isles are a hard team to play against when they have a lead.

Yeah, Bob has done pretty good here tonight, but the Isles seem to have control of this game. They are doing a great job of preventing the Panthers from gaining any momentum.

The Isles (and to me it's a Trotz trademark) are a very hard team to play against when they are leading. They clog up lanes, check, smother. The Panthers had a bit of a flurry with about 4 min left and I was hoping they'd get one, that would put some wind in their sails

He’s been able to score goals like that all season.
I'm well aware.

There is still a chance this is a Petr Prucha type fluke season and he regresses huge, but I think he has a better chance of being a perennial 30-40 goal guy.

Kubalik was drafted all the way back in 2013. It's already clear he's a gamer and not going to fall off a cliff at 24 years old.

Today was just more icing on the cake...

Kubalik also became the first player to record five points in his postseason debut in NHL history.

You gotta hand it to Tippett. The man is a genius. Let's go with Smith, because he remembers Smith knows how to beat the Blackhawks in a playoff series.

Uh, Dave it is 2020, not 2012.

When you look at the Blackhawk's roster they actually have a lot of talent/potential in the forward group. I'm surprised they weren't a better team this year.

Looks like the Oilers could be in the running for the 1st OA pick again.
