Kinda stunned that MacT is leaving for the KHL at this point in his life. Someone must have told him he can get drunk and run people over with his car with no jail time over there.

Yeah, that's a strange one.Is he in debt, and is he getting paid in dollars or rubles?

Is Ralph Kruger related to Karl Hungus?

Hope he’s not a Nihilist.

why would they not qualify Pouliot? Qualify him but don't sign him if he sign qualifying Vancouver has a cheap asset, if he doesn't then he can sign an offer sheet if one is available and given it owuld likely be a low $$ amount Vancouver would lose him for nothing which is the same as not qualifying. If he does sign they can move to the AHL for injury call up insurance, and if he needs waivers and is claimed than they lose him for nothing which is the same as not qualifying.

I just realized that Vancouver is already at it's maximum 50 contracts, so maybe that is why. Still odd they would not trade his rights for furture considerations at the least.

Asset: a useful or valuable thing, person, or quality.

Derrick Pouliot is none of the above.

Kinda ****ty that after working with Kekelainen and trading away so many future assets to make a run for the cup, Davidson leaves the team to be part of the Rangers.

John Davidson returns to Broadway, new President of the Rangers. Good move for them, he's a very good hockey guy, smart. A lot of the Blue Jackets success is due to him, starting with stealing Bob from the Flyers.

No, it's not ****ty.
He didn't trade away future assets to make a run for the Cup , he's the guy who brought success to that franchise. He's a smart guy, a good hockey guy and thanks to his path , the drafts, trades, FA's, that club thrived. Much like the success he had in St Louis before going to Columbus.

Blue Jackets have a smart GM, they'll be fine. JD is exactly what the Rangers need.

I loved what Jarmo did by going all in and it was worth it imo but, they did pillage their draft capital over the next 2 years.

I think Duchene stays so that would transfer next year’s 1st to the Sens.

We will see if they make a move or two to try and recoup a few picks.

I’m sure they are pretty confident they have some guys on the farm that will be able to crack the lineup (it’s now or never for Milano) and I think Bjorkstrand will be even better next year.

They should be alright so long as they figure out what direction they are headed between the pipes.

I don’t think Duchene stays, dude will sign with the Rangers or Islanders IMO.

I hope he does, he played really well in the playoffs, its' a good young team with a bright future. But there are rumors that the Preds want him and are willing to pay.

Yes. I’m sure there will be a handful of teams seriously looking at Duchene.

Hope he stays in Cbus too. It is close to his home so you never know.

Bobby Mac reporting that there is good chance Edmonton's new coach will be Dave Tippett. If true, that is a great choice, one I wish the Flyers had made.

oh and Ek is saying Drew Doughty is 'in play' (E4) Mentioned the Leafs, Wings, isles and Oilers.

Drew is about to get a $10 million deposit on July 1. Maybe Luc comes out at the draft and calls Doughty an out of shape POS, who needs to grow up.

Brock gets $6M per year for six-years. If Toffoli thinks he is worth that on an extension, then I hope the team is ready to ship his ass out of LA this summer.

don't see how Toffoli could think that. When he was inked to his current deal it was on the basis he would constantly flirt with 30 at a minimum. had he proven the ability to do that he would be in line for a nice bump. Now it would be a hard ask to get any increase.

Toffoli's last three seasons point totals: 34, 47, 34. Goals: 16, 24, 13

Current cap hit: $4.6M. This guy should be looking down the barrel of a pay cut.
