Devils have been dressing an AHL lineup of late and they're going on a traditionally ugly western Canadian road trip, so I wouldn't expect too many points in the next week. Palmieri played in the last game, but it sounds like Hischier is out a few more and Jesper Bratt will probably miss most if not all of the remaining month.

NBCSN will have Devils@Oilers for the Wednesday night "rivalry" game. That one probably seemed better over the summer as Taylor Hall's first game post-Hart Trophy in Edmonton.

Ottawa and Devils are legit tanking intentionally. Embarrassing. But come on kings wtf

Really?
What would Ottawa have to gain by tanking? They don't even own their own first! That maybe the worst hot take ever. They suck because they sold assets for a rebuild, but to think they are tanking this year is absolutely the furthest from the truth.
As for the Devils they are absolutely obliterated by injuries. Not like they are benching stars or anything. What better lineup would you put out for them?

To me the last team to try to tank for the #1 was Buffalo. They sold off assets left right and center in advance of McDavid draft. Anyone who produced that year was sent out and their reward was Edmonton winning the lotto. Now Eichel is a hell of a consolation price but that was not their target.

Okay chill out, I forgot. Though I do think that the sens are a shit organization. Same with Devils cause they're tanking.

The Sens are for sure a shit organization. There was someone who tweeted out all the dumb crap things that they have done or have had happen in the last two years and it was epic.

Not being a dick but what makes you think the Devils are tanking vs just loosing games? They only traded Johansson and Kinkaid at the deadline so not like questionable moves.

They're going hard for that #32 pick.

I suppose if you want to put on your tin foil hat, you could question whether some of the Devils who are day to day would have played through injuries if they were fighting for a playoff spot. But it's been an ER ward of late. Wood fractured his ankle blocking a shot, Mueller injured his shoulder going head first into the boards, Vatanen got a blindside "accidentally on purpose" hit by Marchand last week.

If we were really tanking, they'd be having Schneider start every game but they've been rotating him equally with Blackwood.

Schnieder has actually looked a lot better too. Just no support in front of him and Blackwood. Not sure why but I have caught too many devils games recently haha.

New Jersey and Detroit need to start winning. I don't think Ottawa will catch LA but I am worried about LA catching these two.

If it's anyone but Hughes or Kakko, we're just going to complain about and lament a completely wasted season from top to bottom, and 2nd worst has yet to pick anywhere in the top 3 in the current lottery. 3rd worst has moved up once, and down twice. None of that means 2nd worst won't picked 2nd this year, but it's in the hands of the lottery numbers.
