Rangers fans trying to convince everyone that McDonagh is as good if not better than Doughty. :biglaugh:

Omg that one was great!

I am actually starting to think the Bruins are overrated as well. They let this MTL team beat them....

Terrible.

And here I was thinking the Ranger's defense was pretty good with guys like McD, Girardi, Staal, Moore, Stralman, Klein. That's a pretty good group. But after seeing how the Kings are handling a top group like Chicago, I'm not too worried. Here's to hoping Montreal drags this one to 7...

MCD is really the only guy that can control some ice(sometimes not consistently). Hank (God) makes that group look better than they are.

You saw tonight, what happens when Hank plays average.

Also fun fact: In a Game were MTL scores Seven Goals.....

Thomas Vanish 9:26 played 0G 1A 1P -1 2 SOG. Terrible, If I was Minny I wouldn't touch this guy.

I actually think MTL is going to take this to Seven games and win.

Hank(god) looks tired and worn out. The Rangers D is not good enough for Hank to play just average.

I doubt it. I think the Rangers take this at home and win the series. That is why we need to win tomorrow night and get some rest.

Oftentimes with rivals, records go out the window. That being said, Boston with that lineup shouldn't be losing to Montreal. They got suckered into playing a reckless style and got burned big time.

The Bruins are one of the more overrated teams in the NHL.

Sorry RP I am going to have disagree with you. Seeing MTL now, I actually find it hard to believe they lost to these clowns. Boston was the one team that really scared me from the Least. Maybe PIT but their goaltending/defense is an absolute joke.

Both of these teams remind me of NJ two seasons ago. Just not enough to win 2 games in the Stanley Cup Final. I really believe that either the Kings or Hawks can run through the Least Qualifier in five or less.

I think LA would handle Boston in 6.

I'll bet $100 that Minnesota is all over him like a fat kid on candy or Neal's knee on Marchand's head.

JUSt caught the highlights of the game, talk about swiss cheese defences. I thought at least new York played some defense, but I can't believe how easy players were allowed to just skate freely in the slot areas.

I think I would puke if John Stevens was hired by the Nucks. I would be happy for John (he deserves it). But Yuck.

Wow, whoever makes it out of the East is going to get absolutely eaten up by the West. It's going to be really, really ugly.

It took the Kings 6 against a VERY inferior Devils team. Let's not get too carried away.

Gotta give props to Kenny Albert. Turned on Rangers radio tonight and he's calling their game PBP. He's been flying cross country every day to call both series. Crazy.

His voice used to get on my nerves, but I've really grown to like him. He's very professional. Also, this...

On October 25, 2009, Albert called the play-by-play of the Minnesota Vikings – Pittsburgh Steelers NFL game for Fox and then hosted the New York Yankees' locker room celebration after clinching the American League Championship Series that night. The following night he broadcast a Rangers game on radio and on October 28, he called the play-by-play of the New York Knicks season opener on MSG.

Love that story. Kenny has worked SO hard over the years to make a name for himself given he's always been in the shadow of his father.

His work ethic is second to none and he's come into his own on hockey broadcasts over the last few years. NBC obviously thought so as he displaced Dave Strader this year as their #2 PBP guy. He's done a great job with the Kings/Hawks series so far.

He still does a bunch of NFL games for Fox as well. Dude is everywhere.

Boston is/was terrible. Montreal completely dominated that series, it was laughable and flukey that it even went 7 games.

Montreal lead what, 80% of the series and it went 7 games?

Speaking of broadcasters, the one downside to the Kings potentially playing in the finals, the broadcasters will be Doc in the US and Hughson in Canada. IMO that will be a massive downgrade from what we have had so far with Forslund and then Albert on NBC and Cuthbert on TSN.

I used to like Doc but now it's just tough to listen to.

Rangers fans are pretty short sighted with this stuff. One of the things that made me hate Rangers fans is Goaltender rankings. No matter what they never believe any goaltender should ever be named in the same conversation with Lundqvist. Most other fans will happily include Lundqvist among the elite but Rangers fans get super pissed off if you tell them that Lundqvist is not the undisputed #1 goalie in the entire world. McDonagh isn't even the best defenseman in his series.
