I don't like Ovie chirping his own goalie on the ice like that the other night. Save that shit for behind closed doors. I love Ovie but that's being an awful teammate and the caps are probably toast.

as happy as i am to see kadri suspended that long, it's just.. it feels like more inconsistency. that hit has never gotten 8 playoff games. the previous standard has been roughly 1 playoff game = 2 regular season games right? no f***ing chance that hit gets 16 regular season

like f*** that guy and the horse he rode in on, but there's gotta be something predictable about the lengths of these suspensions

in Vegas right now and this is the third time the Hurricanes have wrecked my parlay and I will never be able to forgive or root for them again

Only thing predictable about the length of NHL suspensions is their complete lack of predictability.

Newhook scored his first NHL goal in the playoffs so that means he's going to be Amazing.

It's like double teaming and bullying McJesus shuts that whole offense down. I want to see the meltdown if the Jets win this series.

It’s comedy that the Oilers are trying to win anything with Smith. They seem determined to try to prove hockey isn’t a team sport. They’re not gonna succeed.

Mike Smith has as many points as McJesus and Draisaitl through 2 games. Meanwhile he's sporting a 1.45 GAA and .946 SV%.

Oilers simply are a below average to horrible team when McDavid and Draisaitl aren't on the ice. At a certain point even the best players go cold unfortunately the Oilers have nothing outside those 2. It's totally remarkable how different they are with those 2 on and off the ice. They're like an NBA team really.

I remember saying years ago Ken Holland was very overrated and the experts on the main board mocked me relentlessly, Oilers haven't improved at all, the only reason they're better is because those 2 are the best players in the universe and getting better every year. McDavid had a generational season comparable to Lemieux in his prime. Meanwhile their "2C" is well over a PPG. They are no Pittsburgh Penguins, not even close.

Sort of like watching two guys eat up the smaller fishes this year, while struggling against the tougher teams. The Playoffs are a different animal and if you're not balanced, you'll be out in the early rounds. The Oilers are not a balanced team at all.

Nugent-Hopkins has been their best player by a mile.

So, 3 deep. Its like 1 whole deeper.

Let this be a lesson, Eichelites.

Already liked, but wanted to quote for the people who think Eichel will turn everything around.
