I think he's surpassed or at least tied Richter. Vanbiesbrouck is up there as well and possibly Miller too.

Millers got 370 wins and is 5 years older than Quick and may make it to 400 if he wins 30 more as a back up.
Quicks is at 293 and is still a starter and should hit the 400 win mark withing the next 4 years.

At the very least, when all is said and done, I think Doughty and Kopitar make it to the Hall. Doughty because he’ll play until he’s 40 and have a ton of hardware. Kopitar because of his unique nationality and modestly impressive hardware. When Sundin went in during his first year of eligibility, Kopitar was a lock.

Quick will get in if he retires as the winningest American goaltender of all time, regardless of whether or not he also has a Vezina.

When it's all said and done, there's a good chance he'll be considered the best American goaltender. He's still a long shot to make the HHOF.

The thing Quick has working against him is his body as well as the fact that the only American goalie in the hall that I can recall is Brimsek. None of those guys currently ahead of Quick are even there so he's got a hill to climb. It's not that I don't think he's 'better' or more capable, but guys with a greater body of work thus far like Beezer and Barrasso aren't in yet

Quick will get to 400 wins and will win another Cup (which opens the discussion for another Conn Smythe). Greatest American goaltender OF ALL TIME.

As for Ryan Miller, ha. No comparison. Quick at his peak is the best goaltender I've ever seen, a total animal that single handedly dragged the Kings carcass into the 2012 playoffs. I still remember the ass hurt Miller fans that rather have Quick fail than the US succeed during the Olympics. Sounds like another group of children nowadays...

I know Kucherov is a really really good player, I'm not sure if I like that signing though, 8 years 9.5 million, I'm 50/50 on it,

Coming off of 100 points, and 85 the season prior, and a consistent performer in the playoffs, he’s worth it when you consider what Tavares signed for. And he’s 25 too. He still has plenty of productive seasons ahead of him.

Very possible, but to me, he disappeared in the playoffs, but then again, all of Tampa disappeared it seemed like. Yes, he had 17 points in 17 games, but against WSH he had 1 goal, 4 assists in 7 games, and the last two games, disappeared....

Like I said, really good player, but I dunno, it feels as if this contract will hamper them in up coming years...

I do wonder if this sets any bar for Artemi Panarin's extension.

Panarin is 26, turns 27 in late October, hasn't scored less than 74 points in his three seasons in the NHL, and is coming off a career high of 82 points, away from Patrick Kane.

I think $9M may be the range he's looking at.

Probably, and thinking back on it, I don't think it's this signing that will hamper them, he's obviously a very good player, but...Mcdonagh signing was a disaster, they have Palat at 5.3, their very own Dustin Brown contract, they have to sign Sergachev in 2-3 years, and he's easily a 6-7 mil investment, and they have Point coming up etc

If he wins a Vezina, I think he gets in.

Tampa fans acting like Yzerman is a god for the cap hit. Must be easy to make yourself look like an expert negotiator when you don't factor in state taxes.

He's made some great moves no doubt about it, but definitely aided by the tax, and he's also made some dumb moves that look okay because they haven't fallen flat on their faces yet, i.e. Callahan. Something like Drouin for Sergachev looks like a masterstroke right now, but Sergachev also has the luxury of Colin Miller minutes, who's to say Drouin doesn't figure it out and become the better player (though TB isn't hurting for forwards obviously).

If they go first or 2nd round and out next year, the criticism will finally show up. Right now, he's a shiny new toy, like Chayka. For some reason no one seems to mind that Stamkos can't do big things without another elite player on his wing, that Kucherov is scared of contact, etc. but those things will show right back up the moment they struggle (Stamkos DID get pretty blasted for his 'bad' year after injuries so it already is out there I guess and Kucherov and Stamkos did get some criticism for no-showing vs. Washington hell even Hedman got some looks for being unmitigated garbage a la Doughty vs. Sharks 2016).

One GM who doesn't get enough credit for contract negotiations is the work Brad Treliving has done re-signing players here in Calgary. You can question his trades, UFA signings (Brouwer) and coaching decisions but the contracts to Backlund, Johnny G, Monahan and even Hamilton were very team friendly.

Maybe I just notice cause I live here, but as a King's fan it concerns me how good the cap structure looks for Calgary.

Kucherov's cap hit is only 2.5M more than Kane an he's giving twice the production.

Correct - Callahan's name is already out there and he can move TYler Johnson (or Palat) that would give them 10M plus. 8 x 11.5 per was the rumored contract offered.

Cant move Johnson without his consent, he has a NTC, as does Palat....Callahan has a modified NTC....

I think he hamstrung himself signing JT Miller and McDonagh for so much so long
