A friend posted this on Facebook and I completely agree:

A challenge should be valid only from change of possession. If you're offsides coming into the zone and you score, a coach can and should challenge that. If you're offsides coming into the zone, the defending team gets the puck, turns it over, and then you score, it shouldn't matter that you were initially offsides.

They really, really are. Complaining to the media that they're getting (Crosby in particular) crap treatment while they run around spearing, diving, and crying. It's a shame. Crosby is a phenomenal talent and I love watching him and at least his stuff is done while protecting himself, but as talented as they are, guys like Neal and Malkin are just awful human beings on the ice.

Add that to the offside challenge and this game has put a really bad taste in my mouth. I feel terrible for Nashville.

What a **** job on the offside rule in general. I get following the letter of the law but come on. Funny this comes mere hours after Bettman talks about how good he feels about that part of the game. Disgusts me. I nearly turned the game off completely.
