That's indeed what it's down to.

If I had to pick one to fall out right now, it would be the Avs. They were streaking like crazy for a while, but have come back down to Earth. Now they have VGK, VGK, PHI, CHI, ANA, LAK, SJS, STL.

I predict the west coast meat grinder trip is going to be what knocks them out.

Yeah, it's looking like the three game swing through California will be their undoing.

edwards calls a very good game, he just gets a bit off-base with the color stuff

if faust actually called a good game every once in a while i'd be alright with the extracurriculars

Whenever the Bruins score, he's like a porn star who acts like their orgasm is about a minute longer than it actually is. Just annoys me.

Faust started pretty good, but has lost his way a bit. I'm chalking it up to the Fox effect. I like Jim, but his calls went downhill after Bob started having health issues. I think he feels he has to carry more of the load than he does since Faust is a rookie, he guides the calls into some weird places sometimes.

Would much rather play VGK than SJ at this point.

Everything is coming together for SJ and Kane was a serious add for them, pretty perfect fit. I don't think he would have made a lick of difference on a lot of other teams.

Vegas haven't looked good for a while, I so want them in the first round.

Since they beat San Jose way back on February 8, they've only had two wins against playoff teams (PHI and NYJ, both 3-2). Their record against playoff teams since then is 2-6-2. Against playoff teams over that stretch they have been outscored 35-17. The better teams who have good personnel have them figured out and know how to beat them.

Vegas' style is extremely effective against teams that don't have depth on their lines and they do a fantastic job of beating the lesser teams in the league. They absolutely deserve to be where they are at, but I think they are going to be challenged when facing a good team over a series.
 
What a game !

Landeskog with a wide open net and he gives Fleury a chance to save it. Right after Vegas scores.

Than a great open ice collision

Than a break away for Comeau and Fleury is coming out of his goal but is too late. Comeau falls but cant get the puck into a wide open net.

Than another wide open net for Vegas and insane defensive play from Zadarov with his stick.

What a pace, what a pace.

Golden chances for both but right now Avs are playing for OT.

Evander Kane looks rejuvenated by joining a team with far more talented forwards. The Kings could have used a LW who is competent with the puck... let’s hope some eastern team signs him in the off-season.

Yeah, they seem to be peaking at the right time. Let them beat the Ducks in the first round for a change.
 
that was a great stick lift by pietrangelo too, totally on the same page with tarasenko in opening that lane for him to cut to the middle

takes some serious balls to make that move instead of making the safe play on net
