Do you have any idea how long I would have laughed at the outrage if the Kings singed Brown 2.0?
Woulda justified starting the rebuild that much sooner

Vegas might reap the rewards of good coach availability. I don't expect Hitch to coach anymore, but you never know. Julien would obviously be a front runner.
Boston is where the Kings could easily end up in a year or two. Hopefully Lombardi can play his cards right and avoid it.

That would be next training camp. Kopi and AMart both turn 30 this summer. So that's 6 players 30 or over earning 4M (AMart) or more, totaling 36 M
Lewis is also 30 but at 2M
As for age, they are getting old. By training camp, not counting Greene or Seto, their average age is 29.
Which is partly the reason I've been advocating that if you move a defenseman, it's Martinez and not Muzzin.
It only makes sense though if it's another Johnson for Carter type of swap. If Lombardi trades assets with term or future assets for another rental... he's ****ing stupid.

http://lakingsinsider.com/2017/02/07/february-7-morning-skate-notes-ladue-expected-debut/The longest tenured NHL coaches are now Joel Quenneville (hired October 16, 2008), Dave Tippett (hired September 24, 2009) and Darryl Sutter (hired December 17, 2011).
Sutter now has the third longest tenure of any coach in the NHL:

That's kind of amazing. Feels like he got here not that long ago.
Boston has one of the deepest prospect pools in the NHL right now.
I love how the salt over Doughty winning the Norris last season is showing no signs of going away. So many one-agenda posters on the main board.
As a Canadian who occasionally watches tennis, I'll be the first to admit I'm more of a Milos Roanic fan than a tennis fan. I think there are a fair number of posters on this site that are bigger fans of Karlsson than they are of hockey. Which is fine, but I would never go and try to force my opinions on Roanic on everyone on a tennis forum.
Weird parallel, but there's some sort of disconnect there that I don't understand.
If Karlsson's team ever wins a cup I hope they present the team with the 15-16 Norris trophy instead.
I'd also like to get a kickstarter going to build a statue of Drew Doughty out of salt and glue and place it outside of the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. HMU if you'd like to help with this noble cause.
According to Lightning fans they haven't had a 2 game winning since December.
You know who was part of their last 2 game win streak, yep the Kings.
