Its a gift that keeps on giving. Remember his game long whining in game 6 2012? Kings said thank you very much for taking yourselves out of any chance to continue the series.

Now he's got his players whining too. I Love it.

He's in danger of becoming Alain Vigneault. Got 2 different teams to the Finals. AV's teams failed both times. What will become of DeBoer's new team over the next 5 games (if necessary)?

Of course, the next game is on Saturday. It is the worst night to watch sports. ****ing always catering to Canadians.

why is Saturday the worst night to watch sports? I imagine the booze consumption at SAP will be a lot greater on a saturday than a weekday.

As for the catering to Canaidans..I do not think that is true, but when most of the league's revenue is being driven but 24% of the clubs you better ****ing cater to that.

Not sure why in two threads in the LA Kings board I feel the need to defend Canada when there are no Canadian clubs in the playoffs so why Canada is getting **** on is beyond me, and at the end of the day it is a hockey thread. Any hockey fan should be ****ing grateful for the disproportionate money that Canada contributes to the league.

Actually this is a US-catered schedule, and has been throughout the playoffs. NBC is calling the shots for scheduling, and building availability is a factor as well.

Friday night is ratings death in the US, so they prefer Saturdays.

On the plus side, Saturday's game is on both NBC and NBCSN.

It is too many days though. 17 days to play 7 games is too much. Sometimes common sense needs to trump revenue, but with public companies that never happens.

Friday AND Saturday are both bad for TV ratings, that is why the NBA avoids them.

If your team is in the series, sure. But for a casual and neutral fan, there are better things to do. But Saturday night hockey is mostly for Canadians. That is why I love matinée Kings games on Saturdays (which most Kings fans here hate).

I think he was referencing US television ratings and that Saturday is HNIC, nothing more. That's how I read it anyway.

Much more fun drinking at a night game than a day game...basically knocks you out for anything worthwhile at night while not allowing you to accomplish anything productive during the day since the entire day is taken up by going to the game which really sucks when you work M-F.

Saturday day games suck. I'd be all for never having another one. Ever.

I do my drinking for boxing and UFC events.

Which are at night, so you understand.

I like me a weekend matinee on the road, it's just much better attending night games over day games.

A matinee did lead to my avatar picture so they aren't a total loss, plus they actually played well in most of them this year. Just sucks on the first day off after the work week to have to work out earlier than usual and trek up to Staples. Crowd isn't as lubricated either so it can be a bit dead depending on the opponent.

I was watching the Kings-Rangers SCF game earlier and was wondering if the Pens are faster than the Rangers were against us.They seem to me to be about the same. Everyone kept saying how fast the Rags were yet we found a way to slow them down and beat them..

Hagelin was fast (who is now with the Pens). A slow team can slow down a fast team if they hit everything that moves and have a lot of big bodies. The Sharks aren't the Kings, that's for sure.

That's true. The Kings also played fast which really stood out, got stick to stick passes out of their zone consistently and forced the Rangers to turn and go after the pucks in the corners. The game winning goal was probably was the most obvious example, with 3 tape to tape passes out of the zone, with Toffoli getting the shot and Marty knocking the rebound.

What is amazing about Sharks fans is that they don't realize that they whine a lot themselves while accusing other teams and fans of being whiners.

Fans whine, unfortunately I would argue this board in GDT's is one of the worst in all of HF. If I had a nickel for everytime I heard "2 minutes for playing hockey" or "I guess checking is illegal" I'd be loaded.

The difference is, this is the Sharks coaches, players, management and broadcasters. They are supposed to be professionals.

I look at the all the whining as a way of venting and just being fans. Every board is guilty of it and there's nothing wrong with it, but as you said once it starts from the organization and filters into their media, it becomes an issue.

Also helps to have a mobile defense that is able to control gaps. Sharks this year skated into the Kings zone with speed whenever and however they wanted to. Couldn't do that in 2014 against Muzzin-Doughty, Mitchell-Voynov, Martinez-Greene. This year McNabb, Scuderi, Schenn had to play 10 feet inside the blue line so they didn't get burned.

Logan "I cheat on faceoffs too" Couture. Embarrassing he had to eat his words, it was ridiculous to have said it in the first place.
