How the heck do you watch a cup finals game when you want neither team to win. Guess the answer is you don't. Yuck!

What do you have against Pittsburgh? Geographically, there's no reason to hate them. Historically, there was never a rivalry between the Kings and the Pens.

Someone here said it best I don't remember who but they hit it on the head, cheap shot wuss Malkin, Crysby, Cannot stand Kunitz, their cocky @ss fans, and of course their play by play - color guys are the worse in all of sports (maybe next to the ducks). But if I had to root I guess it would for the Pens.

The franchise tanked to get Mario and then somehow sucked hard enough to get the #1 pick in the best draft since '79, the #2 pick the following year (Malkin) and then were given the best chance to land Crosby since they were the worst team the season before the lockout.

They then went on to back-to-back SCF and won in '09.

They come off as a franchise that has generally been awful but was rewarded for tanking (Mario) and then benefited from the lockout by being given the best chance to get Crosby, which they did.

**** them; however, I hope they sweep the SCF.

:laugh:Well said!

Tanking works. That's how the Rockets landed Olajuwon a year before Ewing. :naughty:

If anything, I consider tanking clean, compared to rigging lotteries.

You think the Sharks will complain again about penalties after getting away with this at the end of the 1st? They skated a good 10 sec with 6 guys.

It looks a little like the first 5 periods between the Hawks and Kings in 2014. The Kings weren't in the same series as the Hawks until they exploded in that Game 2 3rd period.

I wrote off game 1 because they just came off a game 7 win while the Hawks had a few days rest... This looks different to me.... SJ can't get out of their own zone..turn over after turn over...

I thought game 2 was worse than game 1 until Williams scored at the end of the 2nd period.

The Sharks need something at ES. If it's PP or bust, it'll be a quick series.

Sharks look outclassed and slow, which is remarkable given that they looked anything but in the first 3 rounds. Pittsburgh has been the better team and if it weren't for Jones, these games would be laughers.

Sharks need to find another gear, and quick. They look like the Rangers in 2014 vs. the Kings. The score was close in every game, but it wasn't really that close.

Sharks player nails the Penguins player in the corner well before he touched the puck and no penalty was called. Surprise, San Jose scores a minute later.

Funny reading the SJ and Pit threads. Both sets of fans think the refs are out to get them. Neither side really likes how their team is playing.
