I am thankful that Jarmo has stocked the pool with kids from all over. Are any of Marchenko, Voronkov, Chinakov or Tarasov the same players if it's only one of them here or if we didn't have someone like Provorov and/or Elvis who isn't Russian, but speaks it. And how much more likely are guys like Makarov, Dolzy or Ivanov not only going to make the jump across the pond, but fit in to a new culture with a handful of Russians already here to show them how to adjust and make them feel at home. I really hope Waddell and Siren don't get away from Russian/Euro guys. I can't see it with both Siren and Jarmo both in the org still.

Doughty is month to month, I don't know the Kings D depth but could they be a potential partner for a D to F swap? Provorov would obviously be the one most likely to go.

Handedness is the problem there. Doughty is even at his age one of the best RHD in the league.

Look, that Toronto player wasn't even penalized, nothing. I hope those streaking idiots continue this trend during the season. 😡 I'm sure Columbus would be among those who would pay the price.
I'm not a Xhekaj fan, but I am not surprised his reactions, but fight to head is bad.

Guy just can't catch a break. He was looking pretty good in these games, had a lot of energy and was looking dangerous on the PP in the first game... just unfortunate, again.

Laine always over handles the puck. He never should have tried to stick handle 3 guys in an exhibition game, he never learned.

And like that the Laine trade thread gets locked. Weeks of Habs fans saying they win while the random CBJ fan says Laine can't stay healthy.

The Toronto player moved his foot, not his fault here.
I'm not surprised. Although I am an opponent of his transition, and have always written this, this time I understand that he wanted to gain his confidence back.

I have a sense Boqvist shows his potential already in this season.

Pause this at 3 seconds, his left leg is extended almost straight out. I'll be honest, I don't think it was a penalty.

I looked it over a few times, moved by it. Understandably, it wasn't intentional, an unfortunate accident. But there must be penalties for such things. Btw, I looked at the Habs forum, David Savard said the refs didn't notice the situation.

As a CBJ fan you should know quite well how devastating it is to keep losing players to injuries, who needs the "I told you so" bullshit on top of that? And I can imagine the shit the mods had to / would've had to deal with in that thread.

Gloating invites the "told you so" response.

I get that and the MTL fanbase can be insufferable, but there's a difference between gloating after a trade and after an injury that looks like it might have ended his season right there.

Not when the basis of the deal is predicated upon the player's inability to stay healthy.

Still lucky I blocked it before. 🙂 I'm big Patrik's fan, but he's not our player anymore. I'll keep an eye on him, but there's no point in having an open thread about him.
