ATM yeah, but if we go on a win streak and they can go just a LITTLE bit cold, we're right back there. Tuesday vs DET is the most must win game of the season now. If we lose that one, I think its curtains unless DET, NYR, WSH, and TOR all stumble afterwards.

Yeah...we're still good. Good chance of at least getting #1 wildcard and avoiding Boston if we can't catch Rangers/Philly for a Division seed. We'll have tiebreaker over Toronto, Washington and Detroit. Two of those three would need to finish at least a point higher than us to keep us out.

I'm putting my money on us and DET getting the two wild card spots. I'm going to say TOR is done like dinner and WSH is too low on ROWs and games in hand to make a run (especially so if they lose tonight).

Thinking the same way about Washington. If they lose tonight and factoring in their remaining schedule they are a real longshot.

I just can't believe some of the games Detroit is winning.

I think it'll be 2 of us, DET, and TOR for the wildcard(s).

All those games where PITT could have helped us (PHI, DET, TB, NY etc) and they play like turds. I'm sure they'll light us up though in a couple weeks.

CBJ can't rely on others. Just win. Unfortunately it looks like we need to go 7-5 in last 12 and they have lost 3 of 4... Bad time to lose and makes the slow start, AGAIN, magnified. Even a .500 start would have them in good shape.

Looks like the Sharks are going to let us down; at home no less. Pretty sure the hockey gods despise us.

PP; let's finish them off Sharks.

Wow, OT.

Caps in the SO.

And this was about as of a disaster of a day as it was yesterday.

And according to Sports Club Stats, we still have the best chance of making the playoffs of the 4 contenders (after WSH's win tonight):

Columbus 67.5
Detroit 66.4
Toronto 42.2
Washington 26.5

The only team or gods screwing us are the CBJ. Losses to Carolina and the Rangers have hurt more than anything. A loss today would be brutal.

The Jackets still have the upper hand, but their margin for error is incredibly thin right now. They've got to expect the other teams are going to win and go out there and put themselves in the playoffs.

Everyone around us winning, and us losing 3 in a row at home. Perhaps this is a young team succumbing to the pressure. Not sure, but even veteran teams with important players injured are finding ways to win.

Of course they will learn from this, but it still is no fun. After all these years of disappointment, it is hard for me to be confident that they can make it into the play-offs. It is quite clear that all the teams around them are getting it done, while we are wilting. We shall see.
