Speculation: Armchair GM - 2026 CBJ Offseason Roster Moves, Rumors, and Discussion

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Not just an individual tax either. Households also have a 1 million dollar threshold. So even a vet who is making league minimum, if they have spouse working a regular job will soon put them over that tax threshold

Let's say you're making league minimum ($850k) and your spouse makes $200k.

That's $1.05 million in annual income, which is $5,000 in tax. This idea of a tax threshold often scares people who haven't done the math.

He's a UFA, he doesn't need to demand a trade. Nobody will trade for his rights if they can't sign him. He's only going to go where he wants to go.

He knows, he's just not telling anyone
The main problem is there's not that many teams that can pull off this trade without directly hurting themselves and he's basically said no to all Canada.

Legit is basically Chicago now at a 15 mil payrate or Dallas if they can find the cap for 14mil.

If he's just out for a huge payday he's severely limited himself no matter what. Any teams that want him will need to go the trade route to clear up some cap space.

We appear to be in no contention but hopefully if he goes the UFA route we can help clear cap space for wherever he truly wants to go.

I read that someone on team USA had a cousin whose nephews brother overheard some guy saying Robertson would kill 10 men to play with Zach Werenski and he’d do it on the cheap!

Put that out there and they’ll run with it!
