Great move for Arizona. The scorched earth rebuild gets a lot of jokes because Arizona is a mess in so many other ways. But this rebuild deserves top marks so far. They're doing it right.

McBain is definitely a worthwhile gamble for one of their zillion picks.

Why would he not sign in Minnesota but would sign in AZ? Afraid of the cold or something?

He didn't want to compete with the Wild's center depth (his words). AZ is a shit team of course so no competition.

Literally been confirmed the deal will be completed. He needs to be signed by the TDL or he doesn’t burn a year off his contract.

Because he was traded before the TDL he’s on Arizona’s reserve list and can be signed anytime before the Coyotes final game of the season.

If McBain’s rights had been traded after the deadline then he wouldn’t be eligible to sign and burn a year this season. Would have to sign for 2022-23.

I hope McBain tells Zona to suck it and signs in Toronto. Would be fitting after the whole Sattari situation.

Franchise dysfunction aside, Arizona is really a kick ass place to live
Unless you are adverse to heat and the craziness it induces. Spent 4 years in Tempe, and while i loved the Sonoran Desert, the whole Valley of the Sun was like a giant car controlled suburb of strip malls, stupid green grass when there's no water, and general ugliness, oh and the smog.

Northern Arizona, or Tucson, hell yeah. Better.

can’t argue northern Arizona. Absolutely beautiful and you get to enjoy all four seasons.

Tucson is a shit hole though. Haha
