Dumb move, lets hope he can learn from this. I don't think his career is over though, as people tend to forgive little mistakes like this.

Oof. I had heard some stuff about him, but always write that stuff off as rumor and innuendo. Then he confirms it... He has 2nd line C talent. Could have made 40-50M in his career. Such a waste.

That seems pretty drastic. He's a marginal player but it's still surprising that they wouldn't go through the players assistance program first. He's a RFA at the end of year too; maybe the Coyotes money issues are reaching the boiling point.

Yah I was curious about this too. Seems like most guys get the benefit of the doubt here and go to the assistance program first. Unless there was already an underlying issues with him that we don't know about, this feels ripe for a challenge by the NHLPA.

All the tools and no toolbox. Was hoping he would finally put it together. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

His contract gets terminated when his actions don't affect anyone else, meanwhile Lucic and all the WJC guys are still collecting their pay checks. I understand why it's like that when there's clear as day video evidence, but it just feels so backwards.

He willingly shared a video of himself possessing/doing cocaine, practically celebrating it. Young kids who follow him migh'tve seen the video. If instead of that happening, say he got sick from it and was hospitalized from doing it, it likely would have played out differently.

But when you represent an NHL team, broadcasting yourself doing narcotics will certainly get your contract terminated, esp as a depth player.
