Before the playoffs even began a Pens / Bruins conference final was the most likely scenario to begin with. IMO

They're the two best teams in the eastern conference.

Destiny is playing out as it was designed.

I'm neither cheering for nor against Boston.
I'm neither cheering for nor against Pittsburgh.
I'm sincerely hoping that neither of the Rangers or Senators make it.
I can't stand the Senators, and I absolutely hate all that the Rangers signify in the last decade or so.
I was ecstatic when Ottawa was kicked out last night, and in back to back blow-outs no less.
I was also really disappointed that the Rangers didn't get swept, that would have been poetic justice.

If not for lack of D Toronto bolsters the second most deadly offensive lineup in the east. We are all firepower and we had the Bs. That loss was both the most sour of defeats and sweetest of indications going forward regarding our Leafs.

You're saying the glass is 1/2 full and 1/2 empty at the same time. ;)

The Bruins and the Pens both got a scare in the 1st round from the underdogs, but perhaps those teams were looking beyond their 1st round opponents, taking them too lightly taking advancement for granted. Both teams have come out more focused and determined in the 2nd round as a result.

If the refs had called 5 or 6 obvious penalties in game 7 we would most likely be preparing to play the pens. It would have been hard for bruins to come back if they were killing penalties. Obviously I'm cheering for anyone but Boston. Dirty bunch of bean eating, tea dumping, slew footing, bottle throwing , elbowing, four flushing, snake licking bags of monkey crap.

**** it, I'm cheering for Bosotn.

1. Hate the Rags.
2. Boston plays the same style of game we do.
3. If Boston wins the cup, the loss will hurt a little less.
4. Pens will simply annihilate Rags if they make it out to the conf. final.

Can't see the Bruins beating the Penguins..

They took a defensively oriented Sens team with a red-hot craig anderson and absolutely blitzed them offensively...

Tukka Rask is going to need to play out of his mind if the Bruins are to beat the Pens...

I agree. Pittsburgh and everyone is on fire right now.
I think it really depends on who comes out of the West.
If it's the Kings, it will probably be a seven game series, unless, goaltending stands on its head. and that will go either way.

If the Sharks make it through - it will be blessedly short. (penguins favour)
Hawks - it could be short either way, it depends on which Hawks team shows up
and the Wings will always make it interesting, but Penguins favour.

I still don't want Boston winning because I will say again people will point to their comeback in Game 7 as a major reason for that. So if they lose against Pittsburgh I think people will then stop brining it up.

Now the one plus if you can call it with Boston making the Conference Finals is that Dallas now gets their 2013 1st round pick, because them making it this far was a condition in the Jagr trade. So at least it's one less player they are able to select, assuming they don't trade back into the 1st round.

Seeing them beat Rangers easily and watching Rangers struggle hurts. We likely would have made the ECF...

More and more people think the NHL is fixed, the Boston series solidified the dark hand of Bettman theory.I wonder what happens when too many Cdn fans figure it out?

I do not cheer for Divisional rivals (unless they are playing the Habs)

Cheering for them.

They played phenomenally against the Pens last night, and I really would rather see them progress than the Pens.

I don't see why people think it's so outrageous to keep watching the playoffs once your team is eliminated, it doesn't make hockey in itself any less of a fantastic sport. Good hockey, is good.. and it's fun to watch. Plus, the boys of course won't be back until next season, so one might as well root for another team until this one ends.

Also, I see nothing wrong with cheering for the team that eliminated you either. I'm not a poor sport or a sore loser, we choked.. and they took advantage of it. There's nothing really unfair about that, doesn't mean they aren't a good team. It was really depressing, especially the way it happened, but I don't hate the Bruins and I wish them the best for the remainder of this season.

I've really grown an extraordinary dislike for Boston over the last few years and I've hated Chara since his Ottawa days.

And I am a fan of Crosby and Malkin.

Its difficult to cheer for either Pittsburgh or Boston. Pittsburgh is just a big gaping hole on defense and Boston has Marchand. I'm rooting for teams in the West, always have after the Leafs were knocked out.
