Are we in Canada paranoid about 2026 or should we not be worried?

How is journeyman Ryan Donato scoring at his highest rate ever and Connor Bedard can't but an assist?

Montreal lost AGAIN. Someone in their forum said that Suzuki is out of gas after carrying the team for the entire season. That does not bode well for Suzuki playing at the World Championships.

Give this kid minutes and he will produce.

* Brayden Point with a pair of goals. If he'd played the whole season, 45 would have been doable. Maybe even 50.

IF you count Joey Daccord as a Canadian (AND I DO :sarcasm: - get your passport, kid), 5 of the top 10 NHL goalies in terms of Save % are Canadian. How did THAT happen?

* There must be a LOT of truth to ^^that^^ because Suzuki got 1 goal and 2 assists and Montreal won.

How can both Lafreniere and Byfield not be stars yet? Or ever? That is just strange. Both had blue chipper written all over them. This is 5 years after they were drafted, there should be a lot more progress by now.

Can't speak for LAF but Byfield looks great with LA - he is everywhere. He just needs to be more aggressive and use his size more.

If I was going to bet on one of them breaking out BIG(!), it would be Byfield.

As for LAF, I have NO idea what to make of him. To my eyes, BEST CASE, he becomes PPG in his late 20's. Having said that, the Rangers are loaded up front and they really don't give him much/any PP time. Having said that, LAF is NOT dominant - you can go long stretches without noticing him.
