So are we just assuming that it was all Dubois fault that the Jets had committment issues last year and were so uncaring that their Coach ripped them a new one during a presser?

Three Canadian teams currently hold and will likely hold a playoff spot. You’d be surprised if the Canadian teams don’t go 0-3? Huh. Mind you, you thought the Devils standing pat with your goaltenders were a good idea and they are now a sub .500 team.

You got some great hot takes!
Leafs are a lesser team then last year
Oilers are imploding
Flames are dead
Canadiens are playing well but aren't playoff material.
Senators are spinning in circles
Canucks have the delpth of public restroom toilet paper
The Jets season meltdown is a common occurrence. They struggle during the later half of the season and then have engine failure just as the playoffs starts.

Devils have a great outlook for the next couple years so I'm pretty happy where I'm standing. Jets are meanwhile are set up to get older and more mediocre.

No, but Wheeler was a big part of that, and he no longer plays for the Jets. The players that came back in the PLD trade have gone a long way to making the Jets a deeper team.

The Jets are looking pretty good so far this year no doubt it's just tiring year after year seeing threads pop up early in the season proclaiming some team a beast or cup favorite only to later seem them miss the playoffs or die in the 1st round.

Not one person in this thread has proclaimed the Jets to be a cup favourite. Also, you are on an NHL hockey forum and are upset that people talk about teams that are doing well, regardless of it being the quarter way, half way, end of the season or playoffs. Please help it make sense…..

They have them currently projected to finish higher in the standings, so that looks like that's most of it?
If Canucks add to their D on deadline day, they are better than Jets. They have a very underrated bottom 6 which many people here think is weak

Canucks bottom 6:
Beauvillier-Suter-Garland
Joshua-Blueger-Hoglander
Aman, Lafferty, Studenika, Podkolzin, Bains

Many people here are sleeping on the Canucks bottom 6 but I see a huge potential with some breaking out this season like Hoglander and Joshua. Beauvillier and Garland have skills, as streaky as they may be, they can do a lot of damage when they are on. Lafferty, Suter and Blueger are very underrated vets and are good in faceoffs. Then there is the top 10 pick Podkolzin who will be getting better and Bains.

I can count 11 to 12 players that could easily play on the bottom 6 of Canucks and they are all NHL caliber.

Leafs are a lesser team then last year
Oilers are imploding
Flames are dead
Canadiens are playing well but aren't playoff material.
Senators are spinning in circles

You sound too ignorant so let's just leave it at that. The Canucks are higher in standing than the devil's for a reason

1. There a team forums for fans to party about how awesome there team is.
2. Reading is hard I guess? Or perhaps you just got angry at the Stanley cup mention and skipped the "Or a beast" part.
3. I'm going out on a limb here but I'm guessing most Jets fans find this thread embarrassing or wish it wasn't made.

If the devil's make it past 1st round I will also be surprised. Boston will easily beat them in a sweep
Gotta love it when fans get so angry but can't argue against what your saying so they just bring up the team you cheer for as that suddenly proves you wrong.

I skipped down to your last paragraph first and then decided not to read the rest.
Woof. Talk about hot takes.

OP, no way, too early to consider that. Jets are doing very well, media doesn't even mention them but thats normal. Jets having a very good season, players doing well and the biggest return from the PLD trade has barely played so its only going to get better when he returns. Not to mention the HD coach missing a big chunk of the season due to his wife illness and he just returned. This summer's talk by many about the Jets being dumb to not rebuild I guess those people were all wrong and the Jets were right and are killing it.

At this stage of the season, I don't think of any team as a favorite to win the cup far too many things can happen through a season. Just happy they are doing extremely well and hope it continues.

Your team sucks.
Is that in depth enough for you?
not really, My takes clearly offended you and thus you feel the need to lash out. :shakehead

Do you search threads that are unrelated to the Canucks and try to find something to get offended by?

Jets have one of the best third lines in the league right now. Vancouver probably has lower odds because their shooting percentage is unsustainable.

Hilario isn’t playing and Kupari doesn’t seem to be doing much. Iafallo has four goals? I’m not seeing the impact from those players? I can agree that just getting rid of PLD and Wheeler was addition by subtraction. To me that has more to do with the nice bounce back season for WPG than the PLD return.

If you’re going to talk crap about other teams you can’t act offended when others dish it back to you. You were clearly looking to get a reaction.
Be better.
So you think the Canucks have good enough players that can play in the top 6 if one of them gets injured? Congrats on not catching the injury bug in your top six but unless they get extremely lucky one of them is going to be injured and I personally doubt they will be able to keep up their current trajectory when that happens.

Saying they lack depth isn't an insult, its an opinion which you got offended by. You however decided to say my team sucks. You are the last person on this entire board to tell me to be better.

As a Jets fan who loves our current success, this happened to us early last year and we almost missed the playoffs.

But I'll wait until around the deadline to go Jesse Pollock.

All that to say, as we are going well right now it's because we got rid of Wheeler and Dubois. I think the contracts might have put Hellebuyck and Scheifele down to earth considering no teams except Winnipeg were willing to give them the money they expected. Also giving Lowry the C and not Scheifele seemed to put him in line considering everybody, including myself, thought he would wear it after Wheeler. Both Connor's have been our MVPs thus far though.

During the Devils game against the Jets I did notice him a lot. Perhaps he's just a guy who adds to the line but doesn't show up on the stat sheet? Once Vilardi gets back I think he'll help.

Sorry. I should have said they are a ‘points challenged team’ instead of saying they suck.
