Capitals are going to get swept by Habs in round 1 - or 5 games max. And they know it. They wanted nothing to do with a Montreal first round matchup - which is why they lost to Columbus back to back last weekend to avoid the matchup.

No worries - Habs win tonight, and then sweep round 1, while leaving Ovechkin scoreless.

Habs vs Leafs will meet in round 3.

DUDE WE AREN'T EVEN GONNA MAKE IT

Can someone explain why Flames are out , they have 1 game left , blues 0 , they are 2 points behind them , so if flames beat LA = 3 points an they will end with 1 point more than Blues

nice one. I know some habs fans still think like that but few of them are on these boards. But yeah, I've seen some people saying the cup is ours because of Demidov. Those people are crazy but they do exist. Some messages I see on facebook everyday prove that.

If Montreal loses tonight, the city with implode. Columbus has an outside chance but still Habs are in full control of their destiny.

Canes called up a bunch of AHLers for tonight's game, so they should be hungry to show what they can do. Going to be a great game tonight!

If Montreal loses in regulation, then tomorrow we could potentially see a wild scenario where if Columbus is tied late in the 3rd, they'll pull the goalie since their only way in would be with a regulation win.

As an outside fan, these kind of scenarios are so exciting to watch, and are an awesome way to end the season!

Cool story bro. Maybe focus on making the playoffs before predicting they will upset the Caps.
Yawn, heard that one before. Once the playoffs starts, it's a new season. They would be playing with house money, no pressure if/once they make it.
There have been so many upsets in the NHL playoffs over the last 15 years by teams that supposedly had zero chances, it's hard to remember them all.
Not saying they would beat the Caps, but definitely not saying they have no chance.
Playoffs are unpredictable. Hey, maybe even the Senators will finally beat the Leafs in the playoffs.
Please show me where I said the Habs would make the playoffs or predicted they would beat the Caps if they met them.
I'll help you out by bolding the key parts of my text you are referring to...
Sorry that I struck a nerve about the Sens' lack of success against the Leafs in the playoffs.

FTR, I'm actually rooting for the Sens in their series.

We all thought the 3-2-1 point system would contribute to a more exciting end of season where artificial parity would lead to more exciting games lately into the season.

We haven't thought that most of these games would be played against team either not giving a f*** or lining up preseason roster.

Habs will never win a cup anymore , to much bad culture , same with the leafs

Shame Calgary didn't make it, and there's a chance they end up with more points than 3 of the clubs that make it in the East.

Yes, because the West has three teams with fewer than 30 wins. While the lowest in the East is 33 wins. Everyone in the West got to feast on San Jose, Chicago and Nashville all season.
