When is Saint-Louis going to use him at the point on the PP, he clearly has the shot for the job, would be way better than Hoffman.
He along eith Guhlie could both be given a chance with the 1st unit.
It amzes me, than NHL coaches continue to do the same thing, over and over, and expect different results....
Wideman and Drouin were beyond awful on the PP last few games................change it up Marty.

Changing Drouin with Xhekaj would be stupid, positions and all, unless I missed Drouin playing the point, in which case, fair enough.

But both Xhekaj and Guhle should get a shot. Harris too, to be honest.

Aside from the abysmal results on the ice, you can tell that a guy doesn't have much depth of analysis by listening to his interviews. Whenever Marc Denis interviews Burrows on the bench, you wonder how this guy found his way behind an NHL bench because he sounds exactly like an average fan being interviewed on the streets.

I wish they would stop with this circle back style on the PP. Yeah, you can have the pass back as an option and the point is to move the D but the Habs are obsessed with that play and have had no success.

It's not complicated. We have 5 guys and they have 4. Make a hockey play and get the puck to the open man. The lack of success on the PP is due to lack of confidence, pass happy minds, and too much tentative play.

Bet you we waste about 45 seconds of each 2 min PP with that stupid circle back play. Watch other teams who do it, they do it but not every single play. Last night, Wideman tried it but was covered, it was almost like he was too afraid to take the puck forward. Comical

Great job by the scouts to find the player. Bergevin had nothing to do with it, like most good things from his era.

It's comical how they insist and force that pass back at all cost. Yesterday we had a hilarious example of a Wild player chasing Wideman and blocking the pass back, and yet Wideman tried everything to get the puck back instead of going forward. There's no read at all on the PP. It's all set plays, like robots being poorly programmed, and when the plays are not possible, you get back an error line "does not compute" in their brains.

Glad I'm not the only one saying Souray. Pts will come with a OFD partner like Hutson + PP time. So expect 10-25pts 1st few years and then hopefully 30,40+ later on.

Use him on at the point on the PP, with his shot, it will create scoring chances for Caufield, i'm 100% sure, he will do great, why not put Guhle too.

For clarity sake, BargainBin got super lucky with this one. Happy we have Arber, hard or impossible to find this mix of talent, grit and sheer determination

You would never guess it when souray was fighting but he's mentioned after retirement that he was generally scared when fighting. He didn't have to fight all the time though because he did establish a certain presence.... Plus with his wrist issues, I assume it wouldnt be very wise to throw down alot.

WiFi looks like that rare breed that actually enjoys fighting.

John Scott in his podcast once claimed there were a few players in the league who had an unfathomable aura of dangerosity, and Souray was one of them. He was not talking about their raw fighting skills as much as not knowing how far things could go.

I think the need to shift the personnel on the power play around.

Get Dach and Suzuki in there as passers, Cole, and possible Hoffman as shooters (or Anderson instead of Hoffman for a net front presence), and Xhekaj to shoot from the point. Might generate more than their current "everyone pass to Caufield for a shot" schema.
