he's got to be stoked, going from working in costco to getting 80K but knowing that next year he'll get 140K (70K bonus and 70K salary since it's highly unlikely he plays a game for the Habs). That's a nice pay raise!

never heard of that, he gets his signing bonus as far as I know

That's only pay from their CHL team.

The reason they say this is because the richer teams can pay more for the talent, who can hold out and/or demand a trade to a certain team.

Connor Bedard has already signed a deal with AJ sports i believe for exclusive signed items.

That's for CHL contracts, this is an NHL contract.
