Trade bait, not a guy I want out there with 4 mins left play defending a lead, he's got zero physical play at all. I just can't stand players like that, sorry. They watch everyone else take a beating, and avoid traffic the entire time. Also, I hate how he refuses to engage and clear the crease, the other team just does whatever they want. Not my type of player, never will be.
I predicted that Harris won’t be a Hab for much longer. I seriously see him getting moved.

No, but a guy like Torey Krug was part of probably the most intimidating D in recent memory. Hes not gonna be a problem.

A small guy that will mix it up is a lot better than a bigger one that is actively doding contact.
Take lessons from Chelios and Schneider. calculated use of the stick will make a player be feared. ;)

Has value, like Kovacevic, as a depth piece on a cheap contract for this year and next.

Kovacevic, at almost half the price and being a righty (776K VS 1.4M), will get more suitors, IMO. Both are worth no more than a 2nd round pick...

That’s cool. We have so many blueliners I have no issue with dealing him. But I do think he takes a lot of an abuse here. He’s got some talent and teams would definitely be interested.

Return would, at best, be a 2nd round pick, though, nothing to get overly excited about. At least, he's developed well enough to improve on his draft value as a 71st OA pick in the 3rd round.

Yes, you are correct, sometimes the fit is more important as well. He fits here now, but not sure how he does in a year. I just have ptsd from this franchise.

I could see him moved as part of a bigger package. I’m not really keen on trading away young blueliners for a 2nd.

I agree. Also as a throw in for a bigger deal. Harris is smart but really brings nothing special. If he had some size to go along with his intelligence, he’d be another Struble.

It's only been 20(?) months since he was an OHL overager. Absolutely nothing wrong with some recalibration in the AHL after rocketing straight to the NHL.
Right. Xhekaj and a couple of others would not had started or played at NHL level last season IF Matheson and Edmundson (+ some other injuries), would had been in the line up. Too bad for Xhekaj that is place was "stolen' by a very effective and solid Stuble this season while he still was injured..

Houle has said it riight from the start that the Rocket would be not be competitive before Christmas time. Many, many rookies. Bunch of guys who had never played together + two very raw golatenders.

Arber like Barron before him needed to work on some things.
Struble took advantage of the opportunity by playing smart sound hockey no matter who he was paired with.
He was good in Laval but he was never as good as he has shown in the NHL.
Lucky for us some players are just like that.

Now it is up to Hughes to make room for his best assets on D. Good luck to him !

Exactly this is divine intervention.

Adding Kaskisuo was a good move too.

I see these articles saying MSL don't like X and relation is bad blah blah bulshit. X needed to work on stuff and the opportunity was right to know what Strubble could bring and push X in a forefront role and see if he could help Mailloux and how good the fit would be.

There is no argument that X's ceiling is an unknown but could be waaaay better given the chance to develop, which they gave him.

I see him with 4th D potential playing in a really strong 3rd line with Mailloux.

Xhekaj is way better than Romanov, and Romanov we got a frist round pick for him
I was talking about Harris. Xhekaj was never drafted. Why are you quoting my post with this post about Xhekaj better than Romanov who got us a 1st round pick in reference to that?

To show you, that if Romanov got us a first pick, imagine Xhekaj, all 31 other teams would love to have a Xhekaj.

Damn Arber has transformed Rocket!! They're truly a different team with him in the lineup.
He did, he's the general at the blue line.

Agreed
I haven't followed Romanov with the Islanders, but with the habs, he was really good defensively in his 2nd year. He was arguably the habs best defenseman.
He anchors the top pair and draws the defensive matchups in Long Island. Lately hes been playing with Dobson and they form one of, if not the best pairing in the NHL.

Overall, Xhekaj is a way better defenseman, not even close, don't think Romanov, would change a team like Xhekaj did with Laval, he gave everybody more confidence, and i think Dobes too.
I mean, I love Xhekaj, but Romanov is a very, very solid top 4 D. Hed be our 2nd best defenseman as of today.

Yeah, liked Romanov too, and he is solid now, remember how much he struggled at the beginning, i think he struggled more than Arber defensively.
