I’ve lived a good life and have seen a lot, both good and bad. But I remain optimistic about the future. I have managed a large sport organization for the past 11 years which has provided me with the opportunity to interact with many young athletes and their families. Kids today are as promising and aware as ever. I think the future is not as foreboding as some fear. But I’m an optimist. I have to be as I have also been a New York Football Giants fan since the late 1950s. I have a signed Del Shofner football card on my desk. For those who ask who is Del Shofner? Look him up.

Most bottom 1/2 first rounders never become NHL regulars, & some every year never even play a full rookie season.
X has established himself as an everyday NHL dman, with room to improve, while also providing that rare heavyweight "who can play" quality

How did he go undrafted through two OHL drafts and two NHL drafts? Not one scout thought to take a flyer on him in the later rounds?
We are only scratching the surface with this kid's potential. He just keeps getting better and better. He's got no ceiling, everytime we set an expectation on him he keeps surpassing them easily.
We will see how high he peaks, very exciting and interesting player to have.

Feels so good to finally have a legit sheriff that can play 20+ minutes of quality hockey while being an intimidating presence every night. But the best thing about Xhekaj ?
Can you imagine if Florian becomes a decent fourth liner?! Arber’s progression curve has been mind blowing over the past two years. If Florian progresses at half that rate, we would literally have the Bang Bros on our team in the not so distant future!

He's got some offensive potential too. I don't think there was ever any expectation in this regard but he is really good at getting pucks to the net. He's going to put up points if he keeps doing that. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, no high-end playmaking. Just get pucks to the net.

A combination of Covid and why we took a chance on his brother earlier than most would have.
He finished growing late and filled into his frame becoming a truck of a human.
He is needed more as a hockey player than for fighting goons. We need a Nic Deslauriers to patrol 4th line.
