Not that Xhekaj do a lot of mistakes, but when he does, it can't be Savard behind him

Savard is not good enough any more to play Carrier's minutes against top lines. Savard must remain on the third pairing.....Xhekaj plays so conservatively for the most part outside of the dzone so I don't know why you would even make this suggestion.

In an intense game against one of the fastest teams in the league, I thought Xhekaj held up well and played a solid game as he was calm with the puck, maintained good positioning; was intimidating physically and showed surprising mobility.

In short order, no one is going to have carry this kid. He’ll be able to do the carrying.

If Guhle comes back I would sit Savard for a few games and have him play with Arber. It will give Guhle some time to readjust to the speed of the game with easier matchups.

I wouldn't touch Struble/Hutson because they have good chemistry together.

Hearing Landeskog talking how his initial quad injury led to his knee injury is scary. Hopefully, they are prudent with Guhle.​

I would see it as game management more than anything. Savard is not 25 years old anymore and a few games off would help instead of hurt him.

The team 1200 pumped Xhekaj's tires about being a very tough customer and debated about him being the toughest in the league.
