This must be our year.

Sammy has a 3.72 GAA and .872 sv% and Leafs are up 3-1 in the series. If somebody said that would be good enough to be on the brink of elimination and series ending, but in the drivers seat you would be shocked.

That puts Samsonov #18 in sv% in the playoffs. Luckily Vasilevskiy is #19 is among the few goalies that are worse.

We're in a shootout series where last goal wins games.

Happy we're winning, but that is not to say the results are not a little surprising.

I was supposed to be going to this game in-person. It would've been my first ever live playoff game. But, due to some things out of my control, I'm not able to go.

So now I'm in the unfortunate position of hoping they don't lose, but knowing that if they win I missed out on something special. I'll be crushed either way.

Luckily Vasi has been worse? We've made him worse.

Covering all my bases as I read through these threads with many of the same mind . . .
- watching game ALONE as was the case for all three previous wins (only loss was game 1 at my buddy's place, he knows he's to stay away)
- no Leafs swag worn as in previous Leaf wins (only loss was in Leaf swag!)
- evening cleared of all other activities
- mind clear of worry, not nervous at all actually ... just trying to be zen about it

All Leafs need to watch that Wendel Clark tribute video, and play like that tonight - buzzsaw right from the start, don't let up, even when they falter or fall down, it's ground and pound baby. Schenn, eff someone up in the 1st period and put that doubt in everyone's head. Let them get into penalty trouble. Burn them on the power play. Mess with Vasi.

It's going to be a strong night for captain T and new captain on the bench, ROR.
Time to grind them into dust.
That's the attitude . . . grind them into the Leaf logo at centre ice, and leave the bones there as a reminder to the rest of the league.

IT'S GO TIME!!

Once again, swing and a miss!

Batting 000. is impressive, even for you.

probability of bunting making a surprise appearnce before the anthems? wouldn't that be a nice mind game from chief keefe

Leaning right in to it bud. GLG!
Hey bud, how much blame are you placing on yourself for past seasons for not invoking it earlier? :wg:

That comeback in game #4 down 4-1 heading into the 3rd and coming out the winner could really be the turning point for this organization that will be looked back on for years where we turned that corner and now the snowball is running downhill and unstoppable.

Momentum is building that something special is happening this year.

Cooper.... damn him, damn that man!!!! send the battalion over that hill and crush them... it ends today!

The last time one of my teams one a series was in 99 (Ambri-Piotta) when I was 13... The closest was 06, when we were up 3-0, lost game 4 in OT and then the next 3... Sounds familiar, no? I'm a Leafs fan since 2008 when I spent 3 months in Toronto.

It's time to experience another series win!!! The first as a Leafs fan!

GO LEAFS GO!!!

Saw on TV a little while ago that we have lost 10 games in a row where we would have clinched the series with a win. Apparently that's the second longest streak of all time, not sure who's number 1 or how many games it is but FML, would be nice to put an end to this crap tonight.

The first one in that streak was 2013 against Boston which this core has nothing to do with. Still, 9 in a row for this core.

Last season, after 5 games, Vasi posted an .878 & 3.65.
Facing elimination in game 6 & 7: .939% & 1.66

I fully expect a stellar Vasi from now on until the series is over.
