Bro we've had it rough. I went through all my teens and 20s without ever experiencing a Leafs series win LOL. I was 11 last time, we were living in a 1 bedroom basement, Vince Carter was still a Toronto Raptor.

Lol yeah I was only 13. Still remember wearing my jersey to school everyday - waiting for the bus and having people honk at me and say Go Leafs Go as they drive by.

We are into the elimination games now.
I dont care what was done in the regular season or even the games before.
Rask, Price, Korpisalo, Vasy, etc. all stepped it up against us in those games and Andersen/Campbell absolutely sunk us in the past. It doesnt matter that Marner only has 1 goal and 8 points in his last 12 elimination games the same way it doesnt matter Kucherov has 1 goal and 8 points in his last 17. Marner lost and Kuch won in the end.
The Leafs have outplayed opponents in almost every single elimination game and the average team save%: .940+ to sub .900 for the bad guys last I checked with a ton of soft goals against in big moments. I can take the hard fought 2-1 losses on great hockey plays. It's a lot harder to take the short side softies, floaters through the legs in those games on our end when the other team has a brick wall in net doing his job.
We dont remember that the Leafs got their asses handed to them in the last series they won in front of Belfour, we only remember that they won. The other goalie let in the soft goals on the other side while our keeper stood tall.
We just need 1 game out of 3. Now is Sammys time.
I just hope we get Sammy from the last 3 games and not game 1 Sammy.

I think his play has been a lot better than even those number would suggest. But then I've been drinking a fair bit during these games to take that FWIW LOL.

It's because he's making the big saves in big moments.
We just havnt seen that for quite some time so it's hard to process. Doesnt mean he'll keep it up but its certainly a good sign now that the games are at their most crucial.

Yeah in terms of series clinching opportunities...I'm 0-2 lol (Game 6 2019, Game 7 last year). My overall record playoff is exactly .500 lol, hope we can push it over to the positives tonight.I've been there for many losses as well
