I dunno, Leafs couldn't win 2 games in a row against Tampa last year and they've managed to do it this series, after starting off with about as bad of a game 1 as they could've had. They also had no business winning last game, but found a way to steal it. These are already things that previous versions of this roster couldn't do, so maybe they finally turn the corner. Also, it's gotta sting for Tampa that they gave one of their best performances they possibly could've and they still lost, that's demoralizing as hell. I would be shocked if the Leafs played as poorly as they did last game.

I would not go that far.
Sammy was excellent and the team battled really hard.
They deserved their result, they just didn’t do it pretty, that’s for sure.
The Leafs for sure lose that game in years past.

It’s hard to imagine Tampa keeping this up AND our forecheck sputtering to the same extent tonight, so I’m feeling good

Time for the boys to finally climb that hurdle of being able to put a team away in the playoffs. Win this one and we'll be well on our way to finally getting out of the first round since 2004.

He was hurt, but not as badly as it was made out to be.
I think there was embellishment. And I think the commentary in that clip was over the top.

My comment was about the suspense of it being a game time decision and about the stupide commentary around it.

My biggest fear is Samsonov letting in an early softee.
Prior years have made me come to expect that with the Leaf goalies.

Tampas best game was Saturday. Toronto played poorly. If Tampa plays their top level and Toronto plays better then Saturday it will be even.
