Mo and ROR got it done last game. Time for the 4 amigos to get it done tonight.

Matthews played well last game.

JT, MM, WN all need to improve their 200ft game. Control the puck and get the puck into the OZ. Put pressure on Tampa D.

Why put Simmonds in when we’ve held our ground physically against Tampa? The only thing you’re doing is making your lineup weaker by putting Simmonds in over Lafferty or Aston Reese…

That line was losing. Standing pat is just paralysis caused by fear.
Seems a tad dramatic. What's is the fear?
Watch the tape, correct mistakes, try to light a fire especially under those who had a bad game. That is the path forward for the winning side.

Why would we change anything about this lineup?

For as bad as they played Saturday, the same lineup crushed Tampa in Game 2. Wayne Simmonds isn't going to change anything for the better

I was excited for our improved bottom 6 this year, but Lafferty and Kampf have been a bit of a mess for me. Yes, I know, they get really hard zone starts. But still, they seem to be getting completely shelled every shift and haven't had one of those "big 4th line" shifts like we saw at the end of the season.

Not feeling good about tonight's game. No shot Tampa Let's us go up 3-1.

I may bet a large amount of money tonight on a Bolts win just to ease the pain. Having said that, last game was a game Toronto typically loses and they somehow found a way to win...and Vasilevskiy has been a non factor to this point.

Just please. For the love of christ. Don't have the refs hand this one to them.
I don’t think any NHL team is going to let anyone win. Leafs are going to have to work for it.

I think - no, I know - that Simmonds is a worse player than everybody currently in our lineup, and there's absolutely no reason to put him in and expect him to do better.
Worrying about replacing a below replacement player like ZAR is so leafy. There really is little risk. That is what replacement level players are for.

Have the ads been especially awful on this website for mobile for anyone else? Taking over the sides and the bottom of the page non-stop.

Anyway, GLG. Anyway you beat these dirty f***s and almost as bad refs is a good way to beat them.
Yeah it’s annoying on mobile

All that is true, for game 3. What's the chart look like for game 2?

I just don't see Wayne Simmonds having that much of an impact.

None of this happy with a split, it’s “all gravy” mentality we had last year. Kill them, stomp them, go for the throat. They gave us all they had Game 3, they are ripe for the taking tonight, let’s see urgency and desire. Tonight says everything about this team imo, if we see any let up, we’re doomed.

Exciting!

We're objectively the better team. It shouldn't be about Tampa letting us do anything.

I'm of course terrified that we'll find a way to Leaf this game, but on paper this should be a Leafs win.

Yeah last game should be considered a loss in the Leafs players minds. They usually bounce back very well after a bad game, so I hope that's how they take it and not just "hey we won, cool".

Exactly we need a goal more than extra fists.

We can hold our own with the players we have who can actually play hockey.

Seems like you're the one worrying about these players. Most of us would just like to keep our winning lineup that features our 12 best available players. Regardless of the risk you think it represents, there's no reason to replace ZAR with a worse player.

There once was a team from Tampa Bay
Whose fans would complain and dismay
At the slightest of hits
They'd throw hissy fits
Oh, those whimpy Whiner fans at play!

Their team played with arrogance and pride
But their fans would just cower and hide
At the sound of a check
They'd start to reflex
Oh, those whimpy Whiner fans beside!

The players would cheat tooth and nail
To win every game without fail
But the Whiner fans whined
And complained all the time
Oh, those whimpy Whiner fans, so frail!

So if you go watch Tampa Bay play
And hear some fans whine and dismay
Just remember the team
Cheats, break rules, and complains.
And those Whiner fans, they just don't sway!
Roses are red
Violets are Blue
Beat Tampa tonight
Y'all better not lose

Sure there is a risk, he could be much worse. ZAR has taken no penalties, scored a goal and is currently even.
Seems like change for the sake of change when there is really no reason for it.

No kidding, that was such a dumb comment last year. Right behind the 'handshake respect' idiocy.
