Ok i know this guy is very injury prone, and when he was healthy his rep was tarnished.

That being said i remember how effective he was on my nucks in 2011, yes that was a long time ago. However i think he deserves one more kick at the can.

Would you take him at league minimum salary or at the very least a PTO. Or is he damaged goods and not even worth taking a roster spot.

UPDATE:

Torres signs a PTO with Carolina.

I know it aint much, Glencross retired last season after signing his PTO. Nonetheless one team decided to give Torres one more kick at the can (in preseason at least).

If the rest of the league thinks of him as the Leafs do.. hes done.

They didnt even call him after getting him in the Polak deal.

Why would toronto call him? Honest question the leafs knew what they were getting with torres and it was not a player, they were litterally getting a piece of paper to say he was part of the leafs cap now.

Torres was staying in san jose with the barracuda and wasn't even going to go to the leafs AHL team after the trade.

The leafs did no such thing. Torres was all but done playing hockey at that point of the season.

There was a 0% chance the leafs were going have him near the marlies/big league team.

If Torres could be the force he was in 2006 with less headhunting, I think every team would be interested. Hard to imagine him scoring 27 goals, but he did it.

Too bad, I used to like him. Then he went full goon.

At least have a clue if you are going to say things with such confidence. Leafs left him in SJ and didn't want him near the kids or team. Several insiders even stated this, and the Leafs management all but said this themselves.

Can see Toronto giving him a PTO.

can I ask why would TOR would do that to themselves...?

I despise that team but even I know that they have too much respect to bring in a guy like that

I dont see him sign anywhere... maybe AHL/Europe if he still wanna play
